Uh-oh, looks like we have a bit of a problem here. Game credits are often a point of contention. There are plenty of people that work hard on games that don't actually get their name in the credit roll. It's happened before, and now it has happened again.

Independent artist Dan Schoening says that his Ghostbusters artwork was the direct inspiration for the visual style of the Wii version, and he was 100% promised a mention in the credits of the game. Unfortunately, that credit never made it into final release. Now Mr. Schoening gets to enjoy the sting of not being recognized for his work.

Is this issue going to be corrected in future pressings of the game? I really doubt it, but at least we can try to spread the word and drum up support.

Maybe they wouldn't have forgotten if the characters in game actually looked anything like his drawing?

To be honest: almost all the character models of the main Ghostbusters with perhaps the exception of Egon look DISGUSTING and stupid in the game. I like the game, but I would be VERY offended, particularly if I were Bill Murray.

His characters in this drawing are far superior, in my estimation. Instead of credit, which would just make him look like he was behind the ugly models, he should have been made the character art director.

If they're just inspired by him it doesn't automaticly grant him a spot in the credits imho, but since they promised him a spot it's just foul play.

Edit: I also agree with WLSportz, the design on the models are outright disgusting.

Not getting credited and being mentioned on the internet is more well known then being in video game credits.

I know that artist.

And I think that "being inspired by" is not necessarily credit-worthy... especially when, like WiiLikeSportz said, the models don't actually look like the art. The developers didn't hire the artist. They saw his art on DeviantArt and said, "Maybe we should do something like that."
