GameStop seems to think so, but Capcom isn't talking. We just keep hearing 'Winter' from them, which doesn't do us any good. I think a holiday release would definitely benefit the game, so let's hope that's what Capcom is aiming for.

That's pretty much exactly two years after the first one: sounds right to me.

I will definitely get.

"Winter" doesn't start until December 21. So, unless they plan on releasing it in the last 10 days of 2009, you should expect a 2010 release.

It'll be interesting to see which lightgun shooter does better:

"Dead Space: Extraction" (a game said to have some of the best graphics on Wii, and a game that most are starting to warm up to thanks to footage and positive critical reception to the demos, and of course is the prequel to one of the few successful new IPs this gen), or "Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles" (the latest in the long running RE series, and the sequel to the well received and million selling Umbrella Chronicles from 2007, and is also getting some positive press for it's graphics and improvements over the first game).

The release dates are spaced out by a nice amount (Extraction was confirmed for release at the end of September, and Darkside Chronicles will likely hit in November), but of course it's all going to come down to which game is the most well received by fans of the on-rails shooter genre, and which game gets the most recognition by the general Wii owning public.
