Am I the only one who just isn't really excited for handheld games anymore? I can only think, "Wow, that would've been so much cooler on a console" and whatnot... except for games like Scribblenauts. Something like this, though, definitely.
I even find myself forgetting about LoZ: Spirit Tracks. Perfect example, I just forgot its freakin' NAME. I had to search "legend of zelda" on this site and find the title. Geez... This is coming from a Zelda fan.
The last DS game I bought was... Trace Memory, used, about half a year ago. Before that, I think it was Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games in February 2008.
I find myself going the other way,I have less time for console games, so I play a much greater volume of portable titles.
And I actually just went back and beat Chibi Robo: Park Patrol today, I love these games, there's something really completely charming about them in every way.
Yeah when it comes to 3D games with 3d environments (not talking about 2.5D) I would prefer them on a console. CR PP was great and all but the original just kicked much more ass because the console let the developer do more.
Looks amazing. Not really, but I know it will be. Chibi Robo was one of the best, "games," of last gen. Park Patrol was a lapse, mostly ignoring all of the things that made the first one good. I can already tell that this game will be a return to form.
My little sister will be ecstatic. She adored the first game.

I switch from console to handheld. Each has their benefits and pitfalls but I like gaming on both because they offer different experiences.
