Check out this Tweet from FUNimation's Twitter account...

FUNimation acquires the 1st season of the anime Sands of Destruction from Sega of America. The fantasy series is based on the Sega game .

With the way that's worded, it leads you to believe that a season 2 is in the works. Either that, or the anime is going to get released in places outside of Japan. Who knows, maybe it's both!

That's cool. The anime was pretty good. Now I can't wait to get the game. A second season would more than welcome.

Well, the anime was good... but not great. Just until the end is where it got actually good. I enjoyed it nonetheless.

The anime was incredibly dull for me until the last episode, which wasn't that good either. I also wouldn't see the point of a second season, as the anime was drastically different from the game's plot.
