"I'm extremely pleased to be able to confirm The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces for gamers in North America. The innovative control scheme and gorgeous visuals just go to show what a top-notch development team can do when creating a new game from scratch specifically for Wii." - Jun Iwasaki, president of Xseed Games

Wow, another fantastic grab by XSEED! I have the anime for The Sky Crawlers, but I've yet to watch it. Now I have an extra good reason to set aside some time for it!

You need to watch the movie. It's excellent. Especially on Blu-ray. It's a very character driven and slice of life kind of movie though. The war and dog fights are a pretty minor part of the movie overall.

YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

I had given up hope for this, and now xseed just totally made my day.

I really hope the controls work out on this one.

So excited.

Seems like xseed is one of the best publishers on the wii... I buy more of the games they bring over to NA than I do EA or Ubi combined.

Nice to see this happen. The movie was great, although it was more of a drama than an action movie. Hopefully, this sells well.

If you haven't seen Patlobar then you may not be use to the slow space story. Similar to the style of Ghost in the shell.
Glad to see this game coming over. I love the control and think overs will to.

@Burgers

I don't care to have controls that are not very accurate anymore. Also from what I have seen this game uses the nunchaku... that alone is stupid to me as the Wii remote being held with 1 hand should be enough to get the job done.

Just my opinion. :)

The game was released more than a year ago (with a good score btw), to see the game with a control on the level of something from this year and with motionplus nonethless is not only unexpected from this product, but entirely impossible. And considering Xseed line of work, upgrading something so important to the game is entirely out of reach, if Namco Bandai were responsible for the localization it would be a possibility to see them upgrade the game (like Tatsunoko case), but is not the case with an entirely external localization company like Xseed.

Anyway, the previews and the majority of importers reports good (if a little unique) controls. We will have to wait and see, but I have faith in the final product, and if the entire package delivers, some degress of less accuracy will not be a problem for me.

Not seen the anime yet, but from what I've seen the game looks pretty good. Come on Rising Star, make it happen here in the UK!
