We go back and forth, and back and forth with this Modern Warfare 2 Wii talk. I really hope Activision surprises us with a confirmation sometime soon.

The latest information we have is that Aussie retailer JB Hi-Fi has preorder boxes up for the game, out on display. That's not a confirmation of course, but it does lend a little bit of hope to the cause. On top of that, there are retailers taking preorders for the Wii version!

I wouldn't complain if it came to the Wii, but I have to say that just from the E3 presentation, it doesn't look as interesting as the first.

Considering how well WaW turned out, I'd be surprised if this didn't come to Wii.

I know theres a good amount of people that would like to see this on the wii, but do you really want a dumbed down port of a PS3 title thats not gonna look anywhere near as good? It just seems like a silly kind of hope to have.

@ElTopo

Being that I own a PS3...
if there is a Wii verions of MW2 and it has the same controls as COD:WaW(Wii) and the same great online experience as COD:WaW(Wii) with added Wii Speak...I would buy the Wii verion of it over the PS3 version.
While graphics really are nice to look at, I would rather play a FPS on the Wii with the control style of COD:WaW or even The Conduit(I STILL would like to reload by shaking the nunchuck HVS).

I dont know how much I could get behind that. Don't get me wrong, flashy graphics aren't the end all be all of videogames. I picked up Blazblue day 1, I love my NES/SNES collection, Mega Man 9 etc etc. But for a game like CoD4/CoDMW2 it would just seem out of place. Personally I don't know how much I would prefer motion controls over precision analog per say,or motion controls over a single button input (such as reloading). But if they could deliver unique experiences on both platforms, that's always a plus.

Pretty sure if this game was going to have a Wii version, it'd be confirmed by now.

Come on and announce it already!!! We know you want to. If it isnt announced, than Infinity Ward is officially on my sh** list. For the people talking about "being dumbed down", the wii can handle the call of duty 4 engine(something you fanboys said could never be done) and it looks for the most part impressive. Playing COD with a wii remote was a blast and the online was addictive as hell. Give us MW2!!!!!!!!!!!

the game would sell on wii , but it's just probably an error from the retailers.
Or "the rumored game is rumor to be cancelled"

@keyz

well, it was a very scaled down CoD4 engine, but it was the same engine nonetheless. I can't see why they don't port the game to the Wii, though I can't see myself getting the Wii version unless it's comparable, feature-wise, to the entries on the other two consoles.

I agree with everything you just said. Why can't I frickin' reload by shaking my nunchuk, HVS? And why does online have so much slooooooowwwwwwdown....

Not putting modern warfare on the Wii would be pretty stupid. Activision loves money, so I do not see how they wouldn't release it on the Wii.

At this point, I just can't see a Wii version of the game being announced. I doubt Infinity Ward would want to do it anyways. If a Wii version does come, they'll probably outsouce it to Treyarch.

People won't buy this "crap" if it is released on Wii with no improvements over Cod: WaW.(Wii version)

If they dont even have a decent Wii engine PROPER really pushing it then what's the point.

It is not all but it is key that such games look good as they garner much of their interactivity not from only the controls..although the Wii version would be certainly sweet on that front.

But this week I will be getting the conduit as it releases here in the UK July 10..

If I play that game and Activision make this game for Wii with the visual quality of the last game COD: WaW I have to admit I will be dissapointed and also really baffled as to how and why devs just cant seem to tap a machine that is a gamecube upgraded(didn't these devs work with gamecube like 7 years or so ago)

No, No, No it's not all about graphics BUT certainly in this typoe of game it does add that extra(that gamers are looking for). In this day and age I don't think gamers want half assed stuff like Cod: WaW to continue to be what the Wii standard IS if you know waht I mean..

Besides the Wii version doesn't even matter for swaying anything. Just the visuals alone of teh HD versions means instant buy for certain gamers.

It is sad more devs don't put the effort into Wii games, but ah well.

That's all I have. Ah well.

Anyway this game might not even come to Wii...which isn't all a bad thing..if its JUST going to be a TERRIBLE version of the HD versions..why bother?
