The trailers released for this a while back looked awesome, can't wait to see more of it. Looks like there's a slew of horror games coming to the wii all of a sudden.

There were 2 leaked trailers from last year. You can watch both of them on YouTube.
Don't expect this to come outside Japan any time soon unless you support on-rails games.
Calling is an on-rails/guided first-person experience much like Ju-On The Grudge.

It's hard to take the scare factor seriously with this game if all the characters are, dare I say, um,
little people.
little people.

Interesting. I'll track this. I'm at least looking forward to this more than Shattered Memories.

Is it actually confirmed to be on-rails, though? Obviously the original trailers gave off that impression, since they were just concept trailers, but I can't tell from the scans if that's really the case.

@Roth
Is Ju-On on rails? I know you only use the Wiimote, but didn't they say that you press B to move forward and D-pad Down to move back? So it's on rails like Killer 7 then?
@Hyperfludd
Because it sells. Also, the Wiimote's pointer is perfect for the genre, and hey at least some of us still have love for the arcade genres of old. The arcade shall live at home! (lol, wording.) Look at it this way: at least it's starting out as a on rails game and not a third person game turned on rails, so there.

Wow I remember when this game got leaked a while back and Hudson was really pissed, but it looked like a cool game, and a little odd at times

Yeah-no, Hudson makes the Mario Party games and made the mediocre Miami Law game for the DS. Take a fresh look at their Wii support.
You may get another Conduit'd, all big talk and very little delivery.
I would just add this under cautiously hyping to avoid disappointment.

I really hope this isn't on-rails. We already have enough on-rails horror games. There's The House of the Dead 2 & 3 and Overkill, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, and the upcoming Dead Space Extraction, Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles, and apparently Ju-On games.

@MrBubbles
What anime is your icon from? At first I thought that was L from Death Note, but when I look at the bigger version I can see it's not him.
By the way, is the game even gonna hit North America? Hmm... XSEED might pick it up like they did with Ju-On, but I'm not sure. Well anyway, even if it is on rails, it's the only rails game to scare me so far. I watched the leaked footage and yes it really made my heart race quite a few times. Also, Ju-On looks like it's on rails in the same vein as Killer 7... or not. Hell if I know, I need to look for some in depth impressions on it. It may not be on rails after all, it just has an odd control scheme of Wiimote only with B to move forward and D-pad Down to move back, and you tilt the flashlight to look around.
Eh whatever, I might get the game if it comes out here. I'm one of the few people here who still has high appreciation for the arcade classic genre of first person on rails gameplay.
(OFF TOPIC MOMENT) Extraction and Darkside Chronicles are the first two games on my Christmas list (I said before that I do still live with my parents [I'm 19 in case you're wondering, and going to a college that's local] and they still do things like give me many gifts on Christmas). The others on said list are Cursed Mountain, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Red Steel 2, Spirit Tracks, and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (yes I'm aware it's still July, but since pretty much all fall releases have been announced I decided to get a head start on the list, and there's a $350 limit this year so unfortunately that means I had to choose to wait for Muramasa and Arc Rise Fantasia).

Wait, you mean this wasn't Ju-on?
Sweet. Hope they deliver. Also hope it doesn't end up on rails.

don't give me much hope for a unique game...maybe it will be scary at least.
