Hey everyone, cortjezter here with a little morning treat for you. Hudson has given me the go ahead to publish the first official screens from their upcoming survival horror game, Calling.

You can also check out their official press release for the game, and my eyes-on impressions will be coming later today. Enjoy! —cortjezter

looks .....dark :)
oh, a flickr link ...checking now...
hmm still dark. but I like how they made the input prompts appear in terms of coloring

this game needs a trailer. screenshots showing 70% darkness don't help much.

I know there are these leaked trailers from last year but I hope they can be considered outdated now.

DEF... i asked for the updated trailer/footage they showed me, but it sounds like they're still working on that. i can say that what i saw at E3 looks much better than the footage leaked last fall!

Character models leave a lot to be desired.
Evirons and lighting look snazzy, though.

I'm still waiting on confirmation on whether or not it's on-rails. If it is, my excitement will drop pretty rapidly...

Oh look, another horror game for the Wii that utilises the flashlight, and it's in first-person. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Cursed Mountain already kick this games ass. And apparently Winter is being worked on as well so that looks even more better for Wii horror fans.

No, it's not on-rails. It's a guided first-person experience.

I also believe this game will feature Wii Vitality Sensor support. I'm CALLING it right now! \;D/

On-rails games take away your freedom and in a game that builds suspense, I hope it allows you to freely control your movement. Even a "guided first-person experience" (whatever that means) would be underwhelming.

@Roth

When I saw "screenshot 4" - the pulse thing...[ http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3142/370 ... b822_m.jpg ] that is the first thing that came to mind! Vitality Sensor support would be cool!

Your pulse goes up...you get scared..ha "pump up the volume" more scary stuff focoming at you....OR let say the game has option/settings that you can preset to say...

OK if this is someone who gets scared easily when their hear rate increase the game will ease up a bit on them perhaps...but as soon as it detects they are relaxed then it starts up again.

Vice versa...if it is someone who is hard to scare...the game keeps coming at them again and again(keep tring to suprise them heh)..depedning on what option the preset in the options/settings...so it could go either way depending on if your a scardey cat or a brave heart?
If you get what am saying?

A tailored horror experience? heh

ha.

If only the sensor was about before Cursed Mountain was under development. heh. ah well.

XD :)
