I asked the same question, Burgers. However I think I know the answer.

Most of the time, games that have ridiculous amounts of hype online and have a tad bit of hype offline do very well in the first week or two. This first week pretains to all online core gamers who have pre-ordered the game or went out day one/two/three to buy the game. Week number 2 belongs to the core online gamer who just got their paychecks or couldn't buy on week one. After that period of time, sales drop.

In the conduit's case, I feel it is still, at least, in the top 15 for North American Wii games and the game is going through evergreen stage. However, it will not strike top 5 again for a while because of the type of game it is and the target audience. The Conduit was made for those of us online and not the expanded market. Also, this game is not part of an established franchise like Resident Evil or Super Mario.

We shall see if Tatsunoko vs. Capcom goes this route. It seems to take a little from SF4, but also a bit from M vs C . We shall see
