"Every responsible member of the video games industry needs to step up and play as active a role as we can to keep this education process front of mind. It’s ELSPA’s job to corral the industry around this agenda and ensure we’re all doing everything we can reasonably do.” - Regional director of Xbox in the UK Neil Thompson
Mr. Thompson is definitely right. Everyone involved with the game industry needs to do their part in spreading the world on video games. We need to show people what is really going on here, instead of letting them latch onto old stereotypes that were never true in the first place.

I never thought I'd see THAT on a gaming website.
But that's why I'm a Nintendo gamer; it's the console with a more kiddie games. And I like that.
What made the NES-N64 funner though was the 3rd party developers more towards kids. Like Banjo-Kazooie.
Videogames are TOYS.
You can't even use the multimedia defense either, some toys integrate the usage of a computer or MP3 player these days.
Let's put it this way, a football is a toy and yet people are paid millions to play with it in front of millions of people.
Now, when it comes to some games... It becomes more vague. I'm not sure, for instance, if there is a goal or a competition in something like ICO... So is it a toy?
I don't care.
