July 14, 2009 by RawmeatCowboy Filed Under: Wii, WiiWare

We've already told you about the deal between Warner Bros. and Fujisoft for the Everyone's Theater Wii service, but now we had a peek at a few more movies that are jumping onto the Wii, thanks to the deal.

- Batman Begins, Contact, Last Samurai, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Goonies, Free Willy, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and more

The most interesting thing is, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button hits the Everyone's Theater Wii service the same day it hits rental and retail outlets in Japan. Hopefully Japanese Wii owners can see more releases that mirror the real-life street date!

@BengalsRZ

It's a video on demand service for the Wii. 500 points to download, followed by a small cost per movie. Currently, it's exclusive to Japan.

I love that movie. I would rent it on my wii.

@BengalsRZ

It's a video rental channel in Japan. I think Nintendo said it bring it to America.

The video quality I've seen from that channel (from online videos anyway) have been noticeably worse than DVD quality.

The price better be a heck of a lot cheaper than renting it on DVD and the quality better not ruin the movie watching experience when all this content comes.

I got really excited at first because I thought this channel was on it's way to Wii consoles tomorrow. I thought that because I was so use to see

"Wii no ma video channel"

and seeing the words "Everyone's Theater wii" and "added tomorrow" got me really excited :(
