Dragon Quest IX is going to be supported by downloadable quests every week for the next year. What on earth does Square-Enix have planned to cover all of that time? Rumors point to some pretty serious additions, as well as content that should make longtime fans of the series very happy.

There are 25 treasure map bosses, 12 of which are old dq bosses: all of these bosses start at lv1, and level up as you beat them, making the next encounter harder than the previous one. It is also possible to recreate all of the past game heroes, as well as the main characters in this game with downloadable quests and ultra rare drops.

Certainly sounds like a great way to keep people playing long after they reach the end of the game. I wonder if this content will make the jump across the pond when DQIX finall comes here.
