The game is being played via PC, and the framerate isn't correct, but you can at least see what the graphics look like.

N64 games got an upres. on the Wii, so Wii games could in theory get an upres. on whatever comes next. It's not unheard of is all I'm saying.
as Sean Malstrom writes, game graphics became "good enough" a while ago.
... I do care about widescreen though. thanks, TV!
I 100% agree.
MOHH2 is like butter.
I partly agree, because some games leave a lot to be desired though.
"as Sean Malstrom writes, game graphics became "good enough" a while ago."
Truth.
I was watching someone stream The Wii port of Resident Evil, and what I saw was still gorgeous even 6 or so years later. I realized that I'm more than content with such visuals, so long as I see upgrades in other areas (one being user interface).
Going off topic for a minute, it's sad that REmake still looks better than most 3rd party Wii games. I really do wish 3rd parties will put more effort into their 2010 releases.
Super Mario Galaxy looks great as it is, but it would look even more beautiful in full HD graphics.
We aren't, just that we don't care enough about graphics about going out of our way to make graphics look a little bit cleaner.
I was playing Turok: Dinosaur Hunter on an HDTV yesterday, just to see how badly the game has aged. And I found it playable, a game made in 1997. Yes it was blurry as heck (the N64's anti-aliasing was pretty primitive) and the fog was like five feet in front of me (it was annoying even in '97); as long as I didn't sit too close, I could play with little problems. How some people can find Wii games to be unbearable on HDTVs astounds me.
i 100% agree with you...
For the rest of you, buy a HD console or a capable PC and see the diference... is not only "to make graphics look a little bit cleaner"....:S

Not everyone has the same standards as you.
In the pursuit of excellence, you never hit the point where something is "good enough".
That being said, this looks pretty damn good, and shows that the Wii isn't that far behind in what it can produce if titles were ever upscaled in resolution/anti-aliased.
I don't know how anyone can hate against HD. It may not be a priority over say gameplay etc. but how can anyone hate higher resolution? It may be less important to some but it makes no sense to me for anyone to not want it at all.
Buy the Wii or a capable PC to get better interface and feel the difference. I have gaming PC and while I have gotten used to HD-graphics(HD-ready-consoles aren't that HD anymore), I wouldn't change my Wii to any last gen controller. They are good for fighters and old school shooters, but Wii has stronger oldschool library anyway. And I prefer Cube controller over any other controller of old paradigm. Wii can have good visuals...and modern(ish) tech is not limiting anybodys imagination anymore.
I also think that when it comes to videogames, there's "good enough" and then there's "better"
How can I not be in favor of something that is more pleasing to my eyes.
And why? I didn't say the game looked like s***. I ask if the game could simply be smoothed out. It's ridicules that the Wii can't do full Anti when games from 2000 Could do it.
256 colors is good enough.
Composite cables are good enough.
3 sprites per screen line is good enough.
I sure am glad somebody like Sean Malstrom isn't the one who dictates how technology progresses, or else it wouldn't.
I also like how the game is incredibly badly optimized, just by looking at how it chokes during the .bik videos

anti-aliasing on wii would be gratefully appreciate, but HD gaming is not all that matters. I bought mirror's edge last week and the Bump mapping make the metal and cement look like plastic. Too shinny!!!
Lets get all games involving gun play to Wii!
