I wonder if Nintendo will say anything about it.

XD It's the house tune. Completely ripped, too, from the sounds of it. They could've at LEAST remixed it a little. :P

Lol, I know that station! It's the Fox station out of Detroit.
I'm betting it was one of the interns that decided to put a little Zelda in there.
Awesome, so awesome.

This is worse than the time Nintendo used fan remix music during their press conference.

Wow. Not only did they use music from Zelda 64, they used the song Hot Popcorn, and a song from The Offspring. Um... who is making these odd music choices???

The local news always gets me so annoyed....

My parents get new channels from the Philippines or something, and they're always using music from video games. I've heard Final Fantasy X music, and even Gears of War music on those news channels!

And I remember watching a commercial in the Philippines that used music from God of War 2. :/

What's with the obtrusively ugly 'myfox' water mark in the exact centre of the picture?

How are you actually meant to watch it.

This was the news that made me finally register here - so hello everybody :)

I think these tv-channels are still thinking gaming as what only kids do, and kids don't watch news or at least don't complain about using themese from their favourite games..

Anyway, in Finland, where I live in, about year or two ago they were running a shopping centre tv-commercial on local channels, which certainly used the most known Super Mario World theme's melody for a jingle (used in the first maps, the lovely piano-thingy)..I even sent mail to the company about this but didn't receive any feedback, not suprising me at all. I liked of course the song as a huge SMW fan, but the context..come on..

You can actually use something like 10 to 15 seconds of a song without payhing royalties.

@Jack Caymen

agreed most are very annoying (although in my area a couple of the local stations get national praise, NBC channel 2 just to say)

I particularly hate fox local news groups.

Everyone hates FOX news. Especially after the GTA San Andreas, Mass Effect, and Animal Crossing: City Folks incidents.
