"When we first announced the Wii Balance Board, people were skepticaL. But consumers responded quickly and told their friends about it. Now when a new fitness game like Wii Fit Plus is announced, no one bats an eye. Fitness games are now an accepted part of the video game landscape." - Denise Kaigler, Nintendo of America's vice president of Corporate Affairs
It's definitely true...fitness games are now a dime a dozen. It just took Nintendo to pave the way for the genre, and now the market is following a brand-new trend...a trend that is sure to mean big bucks come holiday season.

Fitness games have pretty much 'expanded' the video game market even further, thanks to Nintendo. Thus, bringing in even more gamers and non-gamers. ^_^

Fitness Games are now Red Ocean. I can't count them anymore, seems like 1 is announced everyday.
I'm sure this is why Nintendo decided to release WiiFit+ so close to the original, because the market is about to get saturated. After this Holiday season, no one will be able to sell a fitness game anymore, due to the huge amount of games that are going to be released in the near future.

well it's been predicted that the fitness game market will evolve into it's on market separate from consoles.
If that happens then electronic fitness media on it's own could do even better.

Fitness games are starting to become a dime a dozen. It was an interesting concept with Wii Fit, but now a new one seems to come out every week.
