Coming from a Siliconera poster...

Seriously, Nintendo. Plugging in the Wii Motion Plus is not so difficult that we need a three minute video and an eight step illustrated manual.

I know Nintendo is playing to a different audience nowadays, but even expanded audience players can figure out a MotionPlus without this many steps...right?!

Right and we didn't have all those TV damaged due to Wiimotes flying around. The average person doesn't have common sense. Teach them when you can.

They're just covering their arses for a possible demand.

Me and my cousins got a good laugh out of it yesterday. XD

It would be nice to have the option of SKIPPING the thing! :P

I didn't like to watch it but I understand why it was done, some people are too stupid to do good otherwise.

It's really just a safeguard from the stupid moms- mine probably included :D - calling to complain to Nintendo customer support that the game is defective.

I'm thankful for the video because friends and siblings might rip the Motion Plus right out of the controller without unlocking it and pressing the tabs, destroying my hardware.

So who cares about a 3 minute video.

Makes me long for the day when you could boot up a Gamecube game and not have to read any crap about using this or that with your remote, and not doing this, and brushing your teeth 3 times a day, and whatever else Nintendo stupidly thinks we have to be reminded of every time we play. -_-

@Burgers

I wish consoles would stop trying to be PCs. I don't buy consoles to do required installations, or worry about compatibility issues; if I wanted all that, I would game on a PC, which is superior to the PS3 and 360.

As long as the video is useful or optional for a group of people who don't know or don't undersand clearly how to plug in and unplug WM+ properly, than making a 'big deal' about the video is simply just a waste of time.

Some people do need a lot of steps.

I wish you'd actually bother to get some experience with the other two consoles so that you'd know they're an experience separate from the PC despite having included some of the best features PC gaming boasts in their own way.

Sometimes, man...

You're too funny... It's like Nintendo invented warnings. News flash: Almost every product contains them.

I blame the people who would sue Nintendo because they cut themselves trying to attach the Motion Plus with a kitchen knife...

It's there for a reason. It's for the people that lack common sense, and to avoid suing.

"There was a three minute video at the start of the game telling you what to do. You have no excuse."

Everyone should know the saying, "Better be safe, then sorry" so I guess Big N wanted to cover all it's bases. People normally whine about something being too vague or too complex, people shouldn't be complaining about things being too simplified, since we're living in a age where robots are being made to be our maids, almost everything you every wanted to know about can be found online, which means no more traveling except in the most extreme cases or that you prefer to actually leave your house, and people can order everything they need to survive and have it mailed to their house now, opposite/same sex life partner not included. Things being too stupefied shouldn't surprise anyone anymore, yet it still does, which boggles the mind.

I've already had people come into my store with a Wiimote and a MotionPlus, and ask how to put it on. I actually don't think Nintendo did ENOUGH in this case.

Am I the only one that didn't have that video show and went right to parachuting?
