"HEY GUYS, CHECK OUT MY ALL SIX OF MY LEVEL 100 RAYQUAZAZ, IMAH GO USE THEM AT A TOURNAMENT! LOLOLOL"

Such a silly new rule, although I'd imagine it's because a few little kids cried to their mommys about not being able to use their "leet Palkia" in the tournament thinking they would still have a chance. xD

It'll be fun for those who like using legendary pokemon. I think it sounds fun. Well, fun as far as pokemon goes.

Wouldn't it be awesome if someone won the tournament without any legendaries, though?

EDIT: Wait, the video only showed 9 legendaries, none of which were Arceus. I don't think all legendaries are allowed.

Sorry to stuff a leg here, but some legendary pokemon are outside the Uber Tier. Look at good ol' Articuno, he's Never Used, Moltres is Under Used, Zapdos is in the Over Used tier!

There are only a few legendaries that actually sit on the Uber tiers and thus banned from tournaments. Yeah, Garchomp is Uber too, but it is not legendary, thus banned as well.

So, sorry to break it to you, nothing new here with this rule, moving on...

@comments above

What's the big deal about Legendary Pokemon in tournaments? I don't particularly remember any of the Legendary's that I caught being that over powered (at age 9 I borrowed a Game Shark from a friend of mine so that way I could catch Legendary Pokemon without having to do things like trading; please note though that I didn't use the Game Shark until after beating the Elite Four).

@Eternal Rain

Some Legendaries are excessively overpowered. Practically, one Kyogre can beat a whole team of non-uber Pokemon.

Anyway, this is a huge letdown. Not that there is representation of my country, so I won't be able to take part in the tournament, but still, I was hoping. This ruins it all.

@Stryks
Arceus is not a legandary Pokémon, but a "Maboroshi no Pokémon" and not on the list.

@Nin2000
Accent? This is how these Pokémon are meant to be pronounced by the original developers. You are the one with the accent. ;)

All of those pokemon are confirmed in the games [in some form], so Mewtwo was just confirmed! :-)

An...illusion Pokémon? You've lost me there.

Man, I was hoping Celebi would be on there, if just to confirm that I'm finally going to be able to get my hands on it once HG/SS come out. It's the last one I need and I refuse to cheat for it!

@Eternal Rain:

Legendaries were ridiculously overpowered in RBY (well, Mewtwo was) and in GSC they were still really friggin good. Nowadays, there is a whole tier dedicated to the ledgies that are OP called "Uber" under this tier, almost all of the Pokemon that Pokemon Sunday just showed you are in that tier.

The only one that isn't is Giratina (Origin) forme. Those in that tier are banned from tournaments so whether or not these 9 are banned or are allowed are anyone's guess. If they are allowed, you'll likely be seeing tank Lugias and tank Kyogres mopping the floor with OUs (Overused) who frankly, will probably lose.

At the end of the day, Pokemon usually doesn't have very many offline tournaments anyway when you compete for cash. So, the turnout of this one should be interesting as well as should the results be interesting.

It's true that gameplay is much more balanced nowadays than before and that legendaries are not quiet invincible. But they still quiet powerful compared to the rest. Oh well let's just hope this doesn't get out of hand.

I'm sure that in tournaments you can't have two of the same pokemon so no such thing as 6 Kyogres would be possible.

On a side note I wish I could understand what that asian chick says... she talks a lot and the rest seemed pretty amused. :) lolz.

Well that's stupid...

Oh well it's not like if I competed I'd have a chance anyway... I don't know a thing about IVs and EVs.
