This is an NGamer snippet with Ryota Niitsuma, producer on Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom...

objection.jpg

I'm going to cross my fingers and hope that Capcom has found a way to get him into the localized version. That would be one hell of an exclusive character for the stateside launch!

Also worth a mention, Mr. Niitsuma says that Capcom Vs. Nintendo is an 'interesting idea', but he predicts that Capcom would win.

In localisation, they could have left the Japanese characters in, and have him say OBJECTION!! In English, as well as HOLD IT!! and other various phrases he spouts.

They could have also included Psyche-Locks landing on a character, and exploding after he unlocks them

Various assist attacks with Dick Gumshoe, Maya, Ema and even Pearl.

Too bad he's missing out.

They seriously need to get some Ace Attorney character in this game. I don't care who, Phoenix, Edgeworth, Franziska, Mia, Miya, Gumshoe, Steel Samurai or even Blue Badger. ANY of them will do!

Seems like a daft excuse. If I'm not mistaken the speach bubble for 'Objection' is the same size as the one for 'igiari'

That's seriously like the move they could've thought up? Howabout throwing his evidence papers at his opponents, or something like that?

@Starwolf_UK

I think the issue is the number of letters/characters, each counting as a hit.

1. I would have bought the game of Phoenix was in it.
2. Nintendo would DESTROY Capcom any day of the week.

They could of just done: "OB JEC TION"? 3 hits. And a 2-4 letter pattern.

hmm....capcom vs nintendo is an interesting idea. problem is, it isn't going to happen because of smash bros. i guess capcom can try to get more characters in the next smash.

Why didn't they make it a HyperCombo type move then?

Developers should think a little DEEPER about characters. =(

... but the excuse is too funny XD.

Could't put him in because of his catchphrase? OBJECTION! was too much to handle I see. lol

1) that's a rather lame excuse, I'm sure there are more moves for Phoenix they could think off.

2) Capcom vs. Nintendo would be awesome, and what makes them think Capcom would win? Pft.

Capcom wouldn't stand a chance.

That isn't a very good excuse either, it isn't very hard to find work arounds. They could just make the attack based on syllables, with an exclamation point for the fourth hit. Easy.

"hmm....capcom vs nintendo is an interesting idea. problem is, it isn't going to happen because of smash bros. i guess capcom can try to get more characters in the next smash."

If CvN was made, it dosen't 'have' to play like Smash Bros.; the gameplay can be in the style of MvC since the crossover Vs. series is made by Capcom. And I could care less who beats who (referring to Ryota Niitsuma's answer about Capcom Vs. Nintendo); i'm just willing to see both sides fight against each other for the fun of it. ^_^

Also, Phoenix Wright not included in TvC because of his signature move 'objection', how lame. I'm sure that they can think up of great ideas.

Oh man, I so damn wish Nintendo VS Capcom would be a reality. It would be such a fun game, no wait, it wouldn't be just a fun game, IT WOULD BE AWESOME

Sony VS Capcom or Microsoft VS Capcom wouldn't be as fun as it

O RLY, Mr. Niitsuma?

Metaknight vs. Megaman, Final Destination, No Items.

The weird thing is, I could almost see Capcom making Megaman imbalanced enough to land him in mid to low tier.

Seriously, mid to low tier, because Nintendo did that with Link...yeah I know, wonky comparison, apples to oranges, etc., but I would think Link and Megaman would be two sides of the same coin...

But that's IMO, o' course.

The only thing that catched my eye was the Nintendo Vs Capcom thing.

Remember when Reggie asked us fans what other collaborations we would like to see? many of us here said Nintendo vs Capcom, but over at kotaku I didn't see any mention of that possible crossover, hoping some guy mentioned it or Reggie visited here in GoNintendo.

Nintendo vs capcom would sell millions, put mario, Link and samus vs Ryu, Megaman and Leon on the cover and watch the money pile in

Wait WHAT. The objection! bubbles are all almost the same size! Check it:
ENGLISH: http://www.court-records.net/rips/bubble-objection.gif
JAPANESE: http://www.court-records.net/rips/bubbl ... ese%29.gif

Worst excuse ever. Phoenix would be ashamed with how pitiful that defense was.

On the plus side, it's good news that Nintendo vs. Capcom is at least interesting. I'd really love to see that. :D

Either Capcom vs. Super Smash Bros. with HAL-animated Capcom character models alongside the Smash bros. cast,

or Nintendo vs. Capcom with Capcom-drawn Nintendo characters alongside the usual Capcom fighters.

Or both.

Why not? Smash Bros. is a totally different kind of fighter than the "Capcom vs." games

@Stryks

I think at least a few people mentioned it on Kotaku. I know I did.

They could've just increased the size of the Japanese characters. This sounds like a joke to me.

If it is real, it's a pretty weaksauce excuse.

Yeah, I would say a definitely good mix of both, if this kind of dream match is made offically from Capcom themselves or a collabration with Nintendo; if done right with the right balance. ^_^

Yes to Nintendo vs Capcom.
And yes to Phoenix Wright in a fighting game. Could you imagine how hilarious it would be to see him beating up established warriors like Ryu or Mega Man?
