August 16, 2009 by The News Team Filed Under: Nintendo in general

Reader D-e-f went to great lengths to get us this story. The poor guy not only had to scan a magazine advert from N-Zone, but he also translated the German into English for us! The portion of the scan outlined in red has been roughly translated below.

capcpmGCtease.jpg

"We don't save the best for last but for it to be live at gamescom in Cologne. Just in time for Europe's biggest gaming expo we have a real surprise for our visitors: (part underlined in yellow:) At the convention we will reveal a new secret title from Capcom. More at gamescom."

I wonder what in the world this game could be! We'll have to keep a close eye out on the entire show!

haha RMC, it wasn't really that much work :D

you make it sound like I alsmot died delivering the news^^

on topic:

I sincerely hope it has nothing to do with Resident Evil 5 coming to a certain white box ... let it either be a full Resi 2 Remake or something else entirely (maybe even another Wii exclusive blockboster title?)

N-Zone's a Nintendo magazine right? So the game has to be on Wii or DS correct?

Probably Devil Kings. They never 'officially' anounced it right?

Is it too much to ask for a Megaman Legends 3, Capcom?

We've been waiting so long...

@Hero of legend

yesno. yes@ N-Zone is a nintendo magazine.

but the gamescom guide is was just a pack in with every magazine from their publisher computec media. the playstation mag, pc mag, etc have these guides, too. it's a general gamscom guide with a few pages featuring MSI, Capcom and Sony (etc) and their produts (uncharted 2, dark void, lost planet 2, little big planet psp, mag, gran tourismo psp, tatsunoko vs capcom, spyborgs).

so this could be anything..

It's probably for 360/PS3, although with the bomb that was Bionic Commando and the lack of interest in Dark Void (the delay won't help, trying to escape ODST or not) Capcom might start considering that while a bomb on Wii is easy to absorb, a bomb on the HD platforms heavily impact a company's bottom-line.

So I guess it could be for Wii, too.

But most likely it'll be for the HD consoles. That's where Capcom (and, truly, all of the 3rd party devs this gen) made most of their console money.

Bionic Commando was published by Capcom and the developer that made it went under so I wouldn't say Capcom felt the deep end of that burn, although it did hurt just not as much as you think.

Megaman Star Force Transmission for Wii. Or Network Transmission 2 with importability from the first game.

Ace Attorney 5? That's personally what I want to see, but I doubt that it will be that.
