"-10 players online"
lol
The screens today were alpha
Everything else sounds very good; although, what are these multiple control options and tweaks that supposedly outdo The Conduit?
I agree. I'm not interested in the game but WHY not put in Wii Speak support?..
The price should be at most 40 in my opinion. It is pretty much a slightly (it's their claim) inferior port to a 2 year old game.
Now that you guys mention it, they did say they removed nothing from the original game but they in fact lessened the number of players as well as removed online chat.
- new content added they have to justify this port
- DLC map packs are in question Oh, come on!!!!! Ya have guitar hero 5 with DLC and not this one???? This might add a couple more of sales if ya really want to sale this thing
- A.I. intelligence remains the same So, they rush on to you
- looking to secure the game at 30 FPS I can remember Metroid Prime 3 running at 60 all the time and that one had better graphics!!!!
- no MotionPlus or WiiSpeak support FFS!!!!!!! I can understand the M+, only Ubisoft has found a way to improve FPS using this, but WiiSpeak??? Goes to show how they lack effort here!!! Nice way to give the shaft again on WiiPlayers
- 10 players online Medal of Honor Heroes 2 did 32!!!!!!! And that one was kinda a launch title!!!!!
- online connection rate improved, friend code situation revamped, send friends invites to play i hope the FC revamped means something like what are ya doing with Guitar Hero 5
- 25-30 people working didnt they mean 2 people working on it. I had seen games with less people working and better quality on them
- multiple control options and tweaks that supposedly outdo The Conduit So, ya are gonna claim you are the ultimate control customization no one can achieve after they showed you how to do it huh?
- squadmate mode returns gives us zombie mode as well and i might grab it even though all my previous complains
- CG/sound/music/voice returns from original why change them?
So far, not looking good. Still expecting the video footage, so still giving devs the benefice of the doubt
For a lesser port, it should be 30, but 40 is bearable (although 40 is the price of the original now, but with more online players, voice chat, and lots of DLC available).
@WiiFolder
@DoppleBoppler
I can't speak for the 360 and PS3 versions of the game, but when I play CoD4 on my PC, no one uses voice chat anyways. I've seen it used exactly two times out of the hundred or so matches I've played on it, and one of those was an accident. The other was just some guy screaming insults. So it's really not that big of a loss. That is, unless you were planning to go join clans or something...
Ya, I'd say it really depends on how good the game is. Then again, they may capitalize on the fact that there are Wii only owners who would want to play the game and therefore decide to charge more for it. Hopefully not but we'll see.
@Fatal Frame Fanboy
Personally I don't care about chat, but some do. On the PS3 version at least, there are quite a few people who use their little headsets. About 6 people each match will use it. But like you said, it's mostly just to insult others, so it isn't a big loss.
also, 10 players is an improvement over WAW, which only allowed 8.
30 FPS? Boooo.
"lots of DLC available"
LMAO. IW gave this game 3 new maps, then left it to die until the complaints about hackers on the PS3 (and 360 as well I think) rose to the point where they could only be ignored by a person both blind, deaf, and missing his arms. Treyarch may not be as top notch as IW, but at least they know how to support their games post-release. IW doesn't give a damn once the product's done.
The game comes out in November. That's THREE months.
If the game really is still in alpha, we have a big problem.
Skype works better then Wii Speak anyways.
COD:WAW Wii didn't have vehicles or mounted guns in online, nor did it have all the maps from the other versions. It's frame rate was not locked, often dipping below 20fps online and it had a maximum of 8 players.
COD:WAW Wii, Price $50, 1.3 million sold.
With the list of improvements in COD:MW Wii don't look for this one to be a budget game, you're out to lunch if you really think that.
I myself am not interested in actual modern warfare though, so I have no interest in this.
At least it's good to know nothing's been cut.
just because they're alpha doesn't mean they're not old as hell
- no ... WiiSpeak support
*lol*
- DLC map packs are in question but, requires effort on the part of our Wii development B team
- no MotionPlus or WiiSpeak support due to lack of effort on the part of our Wii development B team
- 10 players online - we could of done more but, our Wii development B team decided not to optimize the port to take advantage of the Wii hardware
- 25-30 people working on our B team
- CG/sound/music/voice returns from original but, highly compressed
I won't even begin laughing at the rest of the details because that one is just the biggie.
I played one of the new maps, and it rocks. I played the PC version only, and not many problems there. I think the mp was mediocre just because of game quality, not due to lack of support or hackers.
@Nez
Considering how this looks much uglier than CoD on the Gamecube, I can already "foresee" that this will lack quality in any possible way. I mean, 20-30 people from a C team (A team does CoD7, B team does the other Treyarch games) porting one of the best selling games this gen in less than a year on a weaker hardware.
Proof that CoD on GC looked better: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.ph ... tcount=425
ROFL, tiny little HVS manages to outdo big bad, bottomless pockets Activision, that's beyond sad.
If I want online Wii FPS action, I know where to turn to. *hugs conduit*
Haha. So true. I wish they'd just take frag grenades out entirely.
@dandancc
Yeah, the whole hacking problem thing was on the consoles mainly. However, the lack of support is inexcusable, espcially when compared to games like TF2.
As for the multiplayer, where to start? First of all, random spawn sucks. Second, frag grenades, and the very concept of cooking grenades, are broken. Third, sniper shots should be a one hit kill to the head, not to the body. Fourth, the MP5, M16, M4, and P90 were all broken to some extent or another (especially the MP5). Fifth, bunny hopping. Sixth... well, I'm just ranting now. >_> The one thing that kept me coming back was the leveling up and new weapons that came with it. Now I'm at Level 55, I have little to no incentive to come back and play, other than getting Golden versions of everything. I've already got gold-plated shotguns, and that's all I really cared about.
- new content added
- DLC map packs are in question
Called it, called it .. called it.
And if everything else is true also, it's a pretty good deal overall.
WiiSpeak will not be missed since most people seem to decide not to use it..(at least on 360)
VC is just stupid anyways, because voice chat is only useful for communicating information and employing strategy.
that would require the people you play with to not be f*cktarded, which is impossible, and is why that 260 player fps ps3 game will be a big pile of fail
Oh no the quality sure was removed.
Wait, this game has s*** graphics and they can't secure 30 FPS yet? WOW...
Only the HD obsessed idiots among Nintendo fans are expecting that [and there are certainly some on this site], but for the rest of us, a game having PS2 quality visuals on a superior console [and THREE years inTO its cycle] just screams of a shoddy port job.
Uh duh? this is the wii version
Well, fps are always secured last, so that´s not a big deal, the big deal is that they only want 30 fps which is a pain in the butt
@keyz
LOLOL. Oooooookay.
Surprised about what exactly?
Except for not supporting WiiSpeak, what on that list is there to be surpirse about?
I don't get it...
OOOOOOOkay? I dont get why my opinion was so funny? Do i make fun of your weird Anime avatar you have? Or the site you run that looks like a 5 year old put it together? I could just see all the girls faces when they see that baby at a party. Get a life man and get off my back.
terryxlr
werent you just complaining about paying for online? MH3 has a pay system which will ultimately bring better online gaming to the wii, but in the same instance your talking about a system that charges for EVERY game being the better system. You make a lot of sense man.
-ugly ass n64 graphics
it wont outdo the conduit that way....
and i doubt customization will be like or better than Conduit
No one is expecting 360/PS3 level graphics, but when you can't distinguish this from a GameCube game from 4-5 years ago then there is a problem. We don't care that it isn't as good looking as the HD consoles, we care that Gamecube games look better, and ran at higher frame rates.
But I'll still buy it...if the graphics are worse than Cod:WaW(graphics matter when the words:shoddy port come along--2009 is the 3RD YEAR OF Wii for f**** sake!)
I may consider a swift trade-in(after beating single player and online leveling up ^^)
Surprised at these details? The number of people that you can play with online? You may not even get DLC maps because it hasn't been confirmed yet or a better way of putting it "in question" completely disregarding the SD card update, no WiiSpeak so it sucks that the people who have it won't even get to use it for this game...and the way it looks?
@keyz
I found it funny because you say at the end: "Buy this game so we can get Modern Warfare 2" as a beacon of hope. Yeah right. Get a grip. Nobody should be forced to buy this port in order to have the "hope" of getting the 2nd game. That is ridiculous.
By the way, I'd love to see what website I'm running because if I recall correctly, gasp! I don't run any!
Highly compressed? What? The Wii doesn't use N64 carts you know, it allows dual layer dvd's up to around 8GB.
As for the using PS2 dev kits comment, look at World at War on Wii, now look at World at War on PS2 and shut du ef up.
@Nicktendo
N64 graphics!? Look at the best looking n64 game, your choice. Now stack that up against this, go ahead, completely ignore frame rate and resolution. You're an idiot aren't you.
I suspect a large portion of you noobs born directly into Xbox 360's need an education.
I like how RMC left out the fact that the game we saw today was pre-beta.
And lol at people calling these n64 graphics.
you wish.
The textures are bad, but thats about it, sorry to let you down.
Cant believe you people are whining about this list. THIS LIST IS A GOOD THING.
People were b**** that they were going to leave things out of the core game, and now Activision says they arent and you still cry.
And you people say graphics arent everything, yet you are blinding yourselves to the rest of the game which is GOOD stuff so far.
Ugh, cant even put words together in light of how stupid a lot of you are coming off.
"OMGZ WTF THESE GRAPHICS SUCK"
"OMGZ WTF MOHH2 HAD 32 PLAYER ONLINE!"
Yet MoHH2 had WORSE graphics then CoD:MWii
Still in the HD versions almost every game mode is 6vs6 so 10 players online is not as horrid as you put it.
DLC as we both know is not yet confirmed so there's nothing to diss there.
WiiSpeak? well there are those who are fine with not having it and there are those who do.
And as for the graphics.. I'll give you that they could look better but will still pale in comparison with the HD ones.. besides I don't think anyone here knows on what stage the game was when they were taken, correct me if I'm wrong.
All I see here are people trying to find an excuse to complain about something and in the end they're just b**** about graphics.
I'm just hoping for the best here, but either way I already own the 360 version.
But when they say nothing removed from the first game, that's hard to believe. CoD4 online has huge ass maps, so I see them shrinking them down....
That's what I was trying to say though in defense of the graphics.
From those screenshots, the maps look HUGE.
So if they really are that big, it makes sense as to why the graphics were dumbed down.
NeroSuferoth
Thank you for being level headed. I've been dealing with idiots all day. Im pumped for this game. NOTHING is left out from the 360/ps3 versions(content wise) and there is new content. I am totally satsified. And anybody who thinks that they will release this and not 2 (granted that it sells like WaW, which i think it will) is a retard. I am pissed about no wii speak though and hope they include DLC for the final product.
16
OIC.
yeah I dont think it will, though that would make me buy it on day 1 for sure.
Yeah same thing here, a day 1 buy
- 2 year old port while PS360 get the sequel
- 10 multiplayer online in comparison with Conduit's 12
- horrible graphics
- no wii speak support, like some people said there's no excuse to not add this at this time.
Conduit was made for the wii fans while this just seems like a last minute cash in
Oh well. Wii owners are never pleased with anything.
Word to that.
What happened to the days when ppl just liked to have fun?
Meh who am i kidding it's not like that there is a ton of online fps to choose from .... and skype is always here
but really those pictures are awful , way worse than anything conduit related
I'm getting this. I loved Waw (wii) so this should be fun as well.
Its sad to see those modes go, but if it is priced right I'm sold.
Looking pretty fugly so far though.
@aLex387
The Conduit's online is very laggy, at least for me. WaW is far better, and I HOPE that this will be at the same level as that.
Yeah I dont lag that much, but I have been quarter-circling alot.
There are a couple of sites dedicated to anime run by someone saying they are 'Artistic_Anarchy' and he probably assumed it was you... they say 'My mom let me make this website!'
LOL I guess it just seems like something you -would- make but since you got your name from an anime other anime fans (the two that run the sites are little girls) have also just got their name from it.
Dont you remember? RMC posted one of his reviews and the link took you to his blog/site. I forget what game it was but i remember seeing his blog/site and it was horrible. LOL
Hmm... I dont' remember that and he says he doesn't have one.... I'm not sure what to believe! Maybe it was really bad like you say and he took it down and acts like it never happened? lol
I don't know... he's not so bad when he's being nice... He has strong opinions his flaw is he isn't always as tolerant of others with equally strong but different opinions. Or maybe -my- problem is it hurts my feelings because I'm a whiney baby! lol
You've obviously forgotten what N64 games looked like. >_>
So, yeah. A bummer CoD:MW doesn't implement WiiSpeak.
"N64 graphics!? Look at the best looking n64 game, your choice. Now stack that up against this, go ahead, completely ignore frame rate and resolution. You're an idiot aren't you."
>>AHEM!!!!Perfect Dark 64...Does this ring any bells to you,ass?
@all
I have nothing to say about this list because you've said them all...Any way,I found the following one funny...
"- A.I. intelligence remains the same"
>>HAHAHAHA! 'A.I. intelligence'... HAHAHAHA!
