“…we don’t have an “official” mascot. We have a logo, that’s it. As far as unofficial mascots go, however, yes, MM would definitely be that. I have actually heard someone discuss this, and I think the reasoning was something akin to Mega Man best embodying the spirit of the company. So apparently in addition to making great games, Capcom is also here to save the planet from overthrow by evil robot masters (and according to recorded history so far, I’d say we’re doing pretty well–2009 and still no overthrows). ” – Capcom’s Senior Manager of Community, Seth Killian

I really hope Capcom has a new Mega Man game lined up for TGS...something in the line of a more traditional game. After Mega Man 9, I'm dying for some more tried-and-true Mega Man action!

something in the line of a more traditional game.

RPGs are extremely traditional. But, that doesn't inherently make them good.

they just cant have one. They have far too many succesfull IP to choose one. Besides, the battle between megaman and ryu is quite a strong one for the post, though there are way to many contenders.

But i dont think captain commando is one. I mean, all right, ya pointed how he has CAPCOM on his name but, when was his last game released??? or his last cammeo???

Someone with so few games wouldn't fit to be a companies mascot. IS like asking nintendo to use Waluigi as his mascot instead of mario

It's the same thing with Marvel and DC. They have far too many amazing characters to have the definitive mascot.
