Remember when Capcom told us that the final four characters for Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom would be revealed at TGS? Well, we've already had one character revealed via Famitsu, and now a snafu on the official Japanese website seems to have unearthed the three remaining characters.
All we have to go on are filenames right now, but it's certainly looking like the secrets have been let loose. If you don't want possible spoilers for the remaining characters, don't click through the jump!
And the file names are...
'images/oncharactor_btn_zero.jpg'
'images/oncharactor_btn_frank.jpg'
'images/oncharactor_btn_joe.jpg'
'images/oncharactor_btn_tekkabla.jpg'
That would make the three remaining characters Mega Man Zero, Frank West, and Condor Joe. Looks plausible to me, but I doubt Capcom will say a word until TGS hits.

Err, who are Frank West and Condor Joe? And there's also Viewtiful Joe in the game, do we know his filename, in order to avoid potential mix-ups?
Of all the characters they could have chose (Arthur,Amy, Strider Hiryu, Phoenix Wright) they chose Deadrising? WTF were they THINKING? Ah well, at least they added in Zero.
Zero makes all the new chars awesome by himself.
Strider seems like a no-brainer. Frank West is stupid in every way (main game not on Wii, mediocre spin-off that sold like s*** on Wii, crappy character for a vs game, if third person shooting game characters are allowed Leon would be a much better pick).
Joe's just the cool character that causes problems with the leader of the group. I don't really care for those characters.
EDIT: Something related to Yatterman also exists. I wonder what that could be.
Yeah, I was in a rush so I forgot to mention RE characters. To me, he was the worst choice they could have made. He is from a more realistic game, he is bland and normal. If I was in the discussion to include more characters and someone mentioned Frank West I would call them an idiot and suspend them for the day (no pay of course).
Uhh Jun's already in the game.
Also your list is missing Yatterman #2.
I'm cool with the list, though it seems the Tatsunoko side is looking a little "clone-ish"
......Why would Travis Touchdown be in? He has nothing to do with Capcom. At all.
Frank West > Leon.
Meant to say Ryu. Both of us should've known.
I mean Jun the Swan.. durr and my description didn't even fit Jun so yeah...
anyway that just the same bs that ubisoft do
Tatsunoko is a great game , i really didn't expect capcom to bring it here so everything else is a bonus
Also, should there be like another one?
I mean, is the Western version going to have one character less?
Zero (from Mega Man X and Mega Man Zero):

Hey if they already put in that mech suit from Lost Planet then why not a character who actually did appear on Wii in some form?
Really, guys? you're hating on Frank West. he's perfect, he's actually no different to Batsu if u think about it, he's from a beat-em-up, that makes him a fighter a brawler, to anyone who thinkgs dead rising is a thirdperson-shooter, play the 360 version, you'll see how little emphasis on the use of guns there is. it's a beat-em-up and an immaginative verywell made beat-em-up at that. i cant wait to see what capcom are doing with him.
that said however i will say this, the localisation of this game feels less like the love letter that was cross generation of heroes. capcom are putting in people who are more recognisable (ie have had big entries in theier franchise this gen) no complaints there though. (online multiplayer *fap*)[fre
I was actually about to add that Dead Rising also had a very B-movie-esque story to it. It had serious moments, but said moments felt like something ripped straight from existing zombie movies (the setting alone is an obvious homage to Dawn of the Dead, so much so that the movie's production company tried to sue Capcom [but NOT Romero, I need to make that clear], and Capcom put a label on the 360 version saying "this game is not affiliated with the makers of Dawn of the Dead and is not endorsed by George Romero" or something like that). Also remember that you could make Frank dress up in silly outfits, like a kid's shirt and shorts that were practically daisy dukes, and of course the servbot mask (which gives me some ideas for funny interactions between him and Megaman Volnut), and the game was PURPOSELY completely over-the-top. Yeah I'd say Frank West fits right it.
Please be true. =D
Because he's out of place and makes no sense, I even like the series and the character on their own, by why in a freaking fighting game? Even if not Leon, then why NOT Amaterasu, or Dante, or someone from Power Stone (which I recall thinking would have fit perfectly and how it's a damn shame Capcom has forgotten that series existed). With Dead Rising on the Wii a bust, and the sequels coming out on the PS3 and 360, it just feels like Capcom giving free publicity to the game the Wii audience can't even rightly experiece.
The fact that you say he's basicallly Batsu doesn't make it better, it makes it feel more like he'll be a clone.
In fact, you know who else would have been better than Frank West?
Mike Haggar. That would have been insanely awesome. In fact, we SHOULD have gotten Mike Haggar.
I agree with that last part. A mayor who used to be a pro wrestler and is actually going to save his daughter by beating the crap out of the bad guys HIMSELF rather than getting the police to do it? That sounds badass to me. Hope for him in the sequel, should it happen.
@Artistic_Anarchy
While I'm someone who really wanted Dante in the game (his combat style would have fit in perfectly, in my opinion), Frank West is equally awesome. Dead Rising's one of my favorite beat-em-ups this gen (with Madworld close behind it), and I can't wait for the sequel (lets just hope Chuck Green ends up being as awesome as Frank, though that trailer from a few months back with the metal music playing while he beat the crap out of zombies was pretty badass so I've got hope).
I too was rooting for Speedy. Damn you selective rights.
I.e. They used fake names to throw people off the scent.
It's unlikely but it's not entirely impossible either.
But Zero? Do we REALLY need a 3rd damn Mega Man character? Argh.
It should have been Gene or Dante
Frank west i could see coming from a mile away, am looking foward to see what he can do =D mini chainsaws ARE A MUST!
Er... Batsu is from Rival Schools, a traditional 3D fighting game. He throws fireballs and is basically the 'Ryu' of the franchise.

Zero seems a good fit.
Leon would be a much better pick than Frank if we are talking action games. Not only for the fact that RE4 is more popular especially on Nintendo platforms, but also because he is a damn sight less feeble.
Suplex for a special, you know you want it.
That's just humorous if that's the case, I have to say...
It's already bad enough that Mega Man Classic or X (who seems to get ignored) aren't in it, at least put the original Zero in it.
http://capcomdatabase.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Joe
Also, we are STILL getting 1 more Tatsunoko character even IF this is Condor Joe.
Other Tatsunoko character is already confirmed to be Yatterman 2.
i feel you man. i feel you
I hope to God that Frank being in the game is true!
Lost Planet got a character in the original game, and Lost Planet has yet to come to Wii! Sure, Dead Rising on the Wii was crap, but the original was awesome, as is Frank.
And to the people saying he doesn't fit, what? And Roll fits in better because why? Frank fits in a fighting game perfectly, 'cause...well, he's a fighter.
@BigLord
He's covered wars you know.
WHERE MY SAMURAI PIZZA CATS?! D<
Yatta! 100% awesome!
And for those worrying about clones, Jun and Ken play COMPLETELY different so I'm guessing Capcom will make Joe pretty different aswell.
I for one can't wait, I imported the original and my Wii Hori stick is itchin for this game!
Where did you here that?
F UUUUUUUUUUHHHHH
I was holding out for Samurai Pizzacats...
And I take it because of the Frank hate is that Capcom screwed you Wii-only owners of a proper port.
Also, people, please, if they say they can't do Phoenix Wright then they are not going to put him in. Get over it.
I'll confess that I haven't managed to get up to Geno in Super Mario RPG yet (just downloaded the game earlier this year and I'm not very far into it yet) but why is Geno so popular? The guy better turn out to be an impressive character to me or else I'm just gonna think he's as overrated as Cloud (I don't hate Cloud by any means, but I've seen better RPG protagonists).
Zero? I don't like Zero. Unless is MegaMan Zero Zero. Then he would be cool. So I guess I'll wait and see.
Joe? Do we really need another Gatchaman character??? Ah well, Gatchaman is a pretty cool anime anyway.
Frank West? Ew. I don't like at all. In fact, I'd go so far as to say he detriments the game. But I'll deal.
Tekkman Blade? Awesome.
I'm slightly disappointed but I'm still really excited for this game. It's gonna be awesome anyway! This game still has the best cast out of any fighting game ever, except for SSBB.
I don't mind that Frank West is in, but Mike Hagger would've been an utterly badass character. Heck, it might even have gotten me to purchase the game.
*highfives* Not only is his game obscure, it DESERVES A GOOD NOD! Come on, Tokuro Fujiwara works for Capcom again. For him NOT to do another game (even if it's a remake of the first two games with the oil painting look of the SNES game) would be insane!
@Inneverate
Classic Megaman had his chance twice against Marvel.
I think it's good that they're changing it up a bit with Trigger who I may add had the luck of draw being one to take a backseat to the internet/radio RPG spinoffs or his Classic incarnation.
I'm a little pissed Roll was in the roster for this game myself previously sharing as much games as her brother, but I suppose comical/female characters were needed.
I sure as hell HOPE it's classic Zero. I'm sick of the Net Navi lookalike (ironically the Zero Net Navi is a hulking faceless Mega Digimon wannabe) that traded his Buster for a pistol and can't seem to decide what his 3rd weapon should be that appeared in both a piss poor Onimusha title and a slightly decent last hurrah for NeoGeo.
@blablabla
Christ, I get SO sick of you Phoenix Wright people that BAAAW about how the characters should enter games like Brawl or Capcom vs. titles. SHUT UP AND STOP OVERUSING THAT OBJECTION MEME PLEASE! Yes, the game has interesting characters and is SUPPOSED TO ENCOURAGE AND STRENGTHEN READING COMPREHENSION but I can't for the life of me see how the effing Lawyer is supposed to fare in a fighting game. I just don't.
As for Dante well...it could have been balancing issues. Just saying.
@bellboy
Oh now you're just grasping at straws... It'z Zero. Get over it.
@terryxlr
You're going to have some trouble explaining this to me because it's apples and oranges.
I was one of those people that felt Geno didn't belong in Brawl because Smash Bros. is the type of game that DEMANDS a type of balance...no character has projectiles or long range attacks in their usual move set that is ridiculously overpowered.
Geno is a doll that shoots out his limbs, fingers and has special moves based around being a WMD. It was clear from the start he wouldn't fit in Brawl.
The field's changed, this time it's a CAPCOM VERSUS title with Tatsunoko. You have characters like Ippatsuman that shoots sparks out a friggin' BAT that does close AND long range damage not to mention Saki and Ryu shoot freaking BEAMS. I fail to see how Yattarou/Speedy would be compared to Geno unless you mean something would potentially give him an unfair advantage (likely his size) or there were some supplementary rights that would cause an issue both sides of the fence.
In any case, I'm still getting the game.
I meant that the fans got annoying by repeatedly asking for obscure characters that i, personally, didn't know about, and didn't find appealing.
Geno is hardly obscure ... unless you lived in Europe or were born after 1995.
Considering Tatsunoko is a little out of left field with some characters and that SPC has a devoted fanbase in the West, I kind of find your reasoning inversed.
All except the annoying insistent fans part that is.
