And the next wave of hype begins with a Game Informer teaser...
There's no doubt that this is for Epic Mickey. Last we heard, this was a Wii title that was going to be a 'Mario killer'. We've also heard that Warren Spector was the man behind the project. I guess we'll find out all the details come next month! Thanks to Greenyz and Deadmen for the heads up!

Yes.
Whatever it is, it's gonna need to be quite something to be a "Mario Killer."
Mario's not really something that can be "killed" at this point, anyway...
But hey, a great platformer in this day and age in hard to come by.
Sorry, but I'm not boarding the hype train.
Because one of the dev's sites confirmed it as such?
Anyway, hope it turns out well!
If I recall correctly that'll be my last Game Informer too.
Somebody explain to these devs what killing something means.
Who cares really. They're planning on making a really high quality game. If it doesn't manage to beat Mario at least we'll have another awesome, high quality title.
The whole mystery and concept behind this makes me really happy. Im looking forward to the news.
game informer is making its next publication around it . And they never ever even acknowledge that the wii exist . So i'm now convinced this is not for wii at all , only on ps3 /360. Even though all platformer combined on those platform sold less than a quarter of mariogalaxy
When did IGN ever say that?
In any case, I hope that this is for the Wii, as Warren Spector did a pretty good job with Deus Ex.
This would be going to the wii? Just saying but Goofy is too freaky. I hope its not this steampunk nightmare game.
I NEED EPIC MICKEY DAMNIT, WII IS THE CHOICE PLATFORM, BELIEVE IT!
@nintycool
pffft, steampunk nightmare is the s*** how can you not like that with disney? im guessing you arent an american mcgee fan then?
@Eternal Rain
ditto, as i said, i needs this on mah wii
Or else Nintendo Power would have scooped this scoop without a doubt.
I'm too lazy to get the link, but when the art was placed on the Internet IGN did an article on the art and mentioned how one of the devs resume's said it is a Wii game. The editor of the article (I can't remember who, but it definitely wasn't a Nintendo team member like Matt or Bozon if he said the following) said that he wished it wasn't for Wii because "only HD could help make the game match this artwork."
Okay so? Yeah I won't deny having it on the other systems would allow for a higher amount of graphical detail, but I feel like I practically need this on Wii because the Wii needs more games like THIS. Also, lets be honest, which system is most likely owned by the most Disney lovers? I'd expect Wii since it's owned by many families, and I think some adults who are Disney lovers would like to see a darker side of the world Walt Disney helped to create all those years ago.
@bunny-cow
Here's my guess: Disney probably didn't want to use Nintendo Power because that mag typically caters to people who only own Nintendo systems. Game Informer covers all systems (though admittedly their coverage on Wii related materials feels off balance with everything else) so Disney probably wants to let even non-Wii owners know "hey here's a game with Mickey Mouse that's also epic! Buy a Wii now if you want this little beauty right here! *Wii sales suddenly see a spike*" (lol, somewhat kidding on that last part, but it'd be interesting if true).
That's a really good point.
But External Rain made a good point as well.
This may be coming to Wii, but I doubt it would stay there for long.
Disney is smarter than that and would probably want to reach out to anyone.
I really wish it was staying Wii exclusive though.
That would be awesomazing.
