STORY
A thousand years have passed since the events of the original FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES. The destruction of the Yuke Crystal during the Great War had at once brought the victorious Lilty Tribe prosperity, the defeated Yuke Tribe apparent annihilation, and the world a new age of science and reason. In this new era exists a rare breed of powerful beings called “crystal bearers,” whose seemingly magical abilities have led them to be feared and scorned by the public. The young mercenary Layle is one such crystal bearer, who has been hired to escort the new passenger airship Alexis, the pinnacle of Lilty technology and a symbol of their current dominance. However, when the Alexis is suddenly besieged by a horde of monsters, Layle comes face-to-face with an adversary thought to have vanished from the pages of history, on a quest that may threaten the future of the world...

In Japan it would be understandable since Christmas isn't that big over there, but in North America? This is worse than last year when the Wii version of Rock Band 2 was released just days before Christmas, almost too late for anyone to actually get it for a present.
this'll be awesome for what will hopefully go as planned of my getting one game a month
tomorrow - scribblenauts
oct - silent hill
nov - new smb
dec - this
They might as well have released in Q1 of next year. It's after Christmas anyway and it's barely within this calendar year as it is.
I have a lot of new games, friends and family and summer vacation starts.
Brain used.
Shut your god damn mouth, I want this game as soon as possible. I thought it was coming out like February and it's good to know that it's coming out this year.
Ok. So you personally aren't going to go shopping because summer vacation starts (you must be in australia? in which case this is not the release date for you anyway) and you... what, want to stay inside the whole break? lol
I mean I get your point but just the fact that you don't want to go shopping doesn't mean anything on a larger scale. And also, were you joking when you said 1.68 million copies of HeartGold/SoulSilver sold in 2 days wasn't very good numbers?
Me too, but then they don't bother with us lot till after the US release, and then translate into multiple languages [when most gamers know and or speak English].
Oh well.
I have another couple of Wii and DS games, maybe one 360 game, I wanna get before the big 2010 anyway.
Then again, tons of people go to stores to return unwanted items.
So well played Square Enix?
I live in Chile actually so this date is for me.
Maybe, as I live in the US, I don't really know how people go on their 26th of December, and I know I'm basing my whole premise on anectodal evidence, but I can't see how people are going to go and rush to buy the game, when they just got a good number of games just ONE day earlier. That's my problem.
And who the said I was staying 3 months at home? I meant that out of the 3 months, I'll just have like one week to play games.
And for Pokemon, your sarcasm detector is clearly broken.
I know a lot of people get money at Christmas, but an earlier release wouldn't stop people form buying it after Christmas.
I figured you were being sarcastic I just wanted 'official confirmation' lol
As bunny-cow says a lot of people go to the store to return games after christmas.
You know, I hadn't thougt of people returning stuff. I can see people entering GameStop, and seeing Layle throwing s*** around. Miliion seller confirmed.
Anyways, I'm not sure about this game. I going to have to wait for reviews. The truth is, I just don't trust Square Enix anymore.
I got it as a present!!!!!!!
I swear it seems like some Wii developers want their "HAWDCORE" games to fail.
I had to double-check, but then I laughed. Nobody came to my birthday parties. Nobody will come to Squeenix's party.
It wasn't supposed to come out until January, so I don't see how it was supposed to be your christmas gift.
