Nah, both version of Sonic X are pretty terrible.

What the hell makes it so hard to draw Sonic properly?

i'm not saying it isn't better than Sonic X, but that is a very bold claim based on what little is shown here RMC.

Sonic X kind of fell apart post episode 52 (with the "stop the metarex from taking over the galaxy" or whatever, come to think it I don't think those episodes ever actually aired in Japan) and the earlier episodes were too much "monster of the week" but I thought the Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 adaptations weren't bad.

Admitingly, my view might be a bit skewed due to watching it entirely in Japanese with no subtitles and no understanding of the language.

only truely awesome sonic animation was the movie, dont argue that either

when i saw the still image, i was like "fan made, no way"

then i watch it, and it changed to "how obvious"

sorry, but they need more animators, a decent art director, a background painter and a friggin quality control group

and if this trailer is an indication, a new director or something

just with this trailer i could give you a laundry list of problems, mistakes, and easy fixes.

the first thing that needs to be done, in reference to the trailer, is the background painter, it killed my expectations with that opening shot.

they did do pretty well with the smoke from that explosion, most newbies ruin smoke

I'm looking forward to it.

Oh, I know it's fan made. I still think fans could make better animation than what was shown here in the trailer. The model for Sonic is just not good to me.
