Is it a coincidence that people playing The Conduit online have noticed that the infamous spawn glitch has ceased to be, right after Nintendo releases their 4.2 Wii system upgrade? I honestly don't know, but legions of online players are saying that the glitch that wouldn't die is no longer a problem. We did hear that Nintendo and High Voltage were working to fix this issue, and that may have actually happened with the latest firmware upgrade. Thanks to Mike for the heads up.

I had the spawn glitch within the last 2 days, but I rarely had it before since the launch of the game. I'm thinking it is tied to server activity and lag since the games that usually take a long time to get into (more than 5 minutes) had a higher chance for the glitch at least for whenever I join games. See you online my name is the same as it is on this site (if you have the Wii mic you can say hi or you can PM me your code and I'll do the same).

@Mad D
I played it last night and didn't experience it...but just because I didn't experience it last night, doesn't mean I won't experience it. Playing The Conduit and getting the spawn glitch is random, so playing one night and not getting it doesn't mean it won't happen again.

I'm somewhat lolling that Nintendo would have to release a whole Wii Firmware update to fix a problem in one game.
Oh yeah, and SSBB still has tons of horrible online issues and they never did anything about that. Huh.

You might want to try updating again after disconnecting the Wii console from the power source, waiting several minutes, then reconnecting it. This sometimes fixes problems like this.
If not, 1-800-255-3700 is the number to call (in the States, at least).

Wicked! This'll be great if true! Although it really hasn't been that much of an issue, it does get a tad annoying when I want to play this amazingly great game, but alas I get spawn glitched. xD

Brawl suffers from core netcode problems. They would probably have to re-release the game to fix them, and I don't see that happening.

funny, i been playing lately brawl online and hardly noted any lag on my matches
I still don't know whats the deal with the brawl hate on the online part, i had never had any problem except for the time i tested it while downloading some anime from bittorrent. Else i had never had any problem
Latelly, my ISP upped my connection to 6mb (cable) and been downloading anime like crazy while playing games online (mario kart, world at war, brawl, the conduit on my wii, soul calibur 4, mgs4 on my ps3, combat arms, AVA on my PC) and hardly experienced any lag

Yep. Brawl online is a pile of bad development. I wonder if they ever fixed it in later disc releases?
I've never had serious lag or disconnect issues with BWII, Mario Kart, Endless Ocean or Excitebots. I've had random issues with The Conduit but, it's no where near as bad as Brawl.

Everybody this is not true! I decided to take this game off of my game shelf and give it a go because I really could not enjoy the game with the spawn glitch problem. But it happened again on my very first game and I have a great connection! This is all just rumor, there is no fact too it.
P.S. And yes I have downloaded the new system update.

What's the spawning glitch? Have they fixed lag/weapon selection/speed of running/matchmaking/level design? Wake me up when they have...

It's not fixed. I turned it on just now to play with ArakniD and I got it first time I tried to join his game. Rebooted my Wii and got the glitch again. And yes, I have the new firmware update.
