It also references Doc Louis from Punch Out, Sonic's speed shoes powerup, possibly Paperboy with the bike sequence, Super Mario Bros 2 USA/Doki Doki Panic with the rocket level exit, Gradius or any other side scrolling space shooter, and probably some more stuff too.

I wanna say the guy with the fist with the chain attached to it is from something.

Maybe I'm thinking of the Sting Chameleon level in Mega Man X, where the sub boss to get the piece of armor is a robot that does that. Right?

Not great.

Also, I'm sure Samus would find it offensive that her sprite was used for all the prostitutes.
