Some new scans of Tales of Graces have popped up, and they've confirmed two big bits of information. Now we know for sure that Tales of Graces is going to have DLC in the form of in-game items and other content. While most content will be paid, it seems that there will be some free items as well.
Also worth noting, Tales of Graces' DS-download mini-game is going to hit DSiWare. This we knew, but now we have a Japanese release month of November to look forward to. This November release will put the DSiWare game ahead of the Tales of Graces retail release.

Why do I have the feeling all this content is going to be on the disc already?
@Skireny
Namco-Bandai, you mean.

I agree with you, though it is good to keep in mind that they often do stuff outside of the scope of their current game budget because they plan on selling it as DLC.

Oh if it were ANYONE else I'd agree. But only a cursory glance at ol' Namban's history with DLC makes it clear enough that they're doing it just to squeeze money out of people.

What makes it worse is that it's probably content already on the disc. That really DOES make it a rip-off in a way.

Not necessarily.
Wii games can have DLC from the net and have it run of the SD card or memory.... Just no dev aside from Harmonix and Actavision have really used that feature.

I imagine people will say don't get the DLC if you don't want it but that isn't the point. Before the current gen systems developers packed their games with this stuff and now they just take it out and charge extra for it. Now, I have no problem with DLC when developers support the game long after launch. It's nice to be able to add more stuff to the game, but not when they launch the DLC a few days after release and then leave it at that. Getting sick of it. But then, it's business. I can whine about it, but companies don't have any reason to do me favours so oh well!
