Nexon confirms Maple Story DS!
Wow, it really did happen…I am very pleasantly surprised. According to reports coming in from Japan, Nexon has confirmed that they will indeed be bringing Maple Story to the DS. As of right now, there is no release date for US, Japan, or Europe…but Korea can expect the title to ship in September. I hope the title is online, and from what I can gather out of the Google translations, it indeed is. I would be very surprised if it weren’t, seeing that the entire focus of Maple Story is online play. If anyone feels like translating the linked articles (and can get a definite answer on the title being online), please feel free to post your findings in our comments section.
I know some of you guys aren’t fans of the PC version of Maple Story, while some of you are. It’s no secret that I am a huge fan, so seeing this news puts a huge smile on my face. I just hope that the title makes it to the US…or Europe at least! I can’t remember the last time I wanted a game to come to the US as much as this one. Sure, I want Professor Layton and others with a passion…but as of right now, Maple Story trumps them all.
