Buyer beware - GameStop/EB Games charging your for reservation rewards...something you didn't even ask for
Have you ever bought something online from GameStop or EB Games? Well you better make sure you aren’t getting subsequent charges each time your credit card bill rolls around. Reader JJ sent in a email saying that he saw a charge on his statement that was for WLI*RESERVATIONREWARDS.CO. He got the phone number, called up, and found out that it was related back to a GameStop purchase. This automatic signup was charging him $10 a month! This isn’t just a GameStop/EB Games thing though. There are various online retailers that are taking advantage of you in the same way.
Next time you make an online game purchase, be sure to read your statement in full!
