We first reported on The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning way back in April, you can check the post HERE. We are finally hearing some more about the title via Comic Con 2006, where the game will be present in some form. The most interesting aspect of this story so far are the actors attached to the game. Have a look at the poster below to see what I mean.
Wood, Spade, and Oldman…pretty impressive indeed. Can anyone else see the effect Elijah Wood has had on the new Spyro design? I can definitely see a likeness between the two. The Legend of Spyro will be hitting the Cube, DS, and GBA this October. What, no Wii version?!
Comic Con will also be showcasing Marvel™: Ultimate Alliance, Spider-Man 3™: The Game and Spider-Man™: Battle for New York. Here is a tiny blurb of info concerning Battle for New York.
Spider-Man: Battle for New York allows gamers to take on the role of their favorite Super Hero, Spider-Man, and one of his famed nemeses, Green Goblin, in an original storyline which builds upon their legendary comic book rivalry. For the first time in a handheld Spider-Man game, players can personalize their gaming experiences by choosing what abilities and powers to upgrade and when, as they progress through the game. Playing as both good and evil, gamers will experience levels packed with frenzied action, in-depth combat and a host of unique super moves as they embark on the ultimate quest to save New York City from almost certain disaster.
This game is headed to the DS and GBA, thanks to Spider-Prime for the info, and Mex12 for the GameSpot preview link! Huge thanks to Wiim0te for the heads up.
