Being Samus, and other Metroid musings

I am having flashbacks to the GameCube era. Remember when we first found out that Metroid was returning, and that it was going to be a first person title? I don’t think there was a single person out there that didn’t fear what would happen to the franchise. Now we are going through that all over again, but this time the fear comes from a third party encroaching on the beloved character of Samus.
