Plot and Gameplay in Metroid
What is more important to you in a Metroid game, the plot or the gameplay? I would like to think that both co-exist, and each element helps the other to be the best it can be. Retro really stepped things up in the story department for the Prime series, but it only existed for those that were willing to scan hundreds and hundreds of computer displays. Outside of that, there was a basic story, but nothing too huge.
Metroid: Other M certainly looks to be taking things in a more story-driven direction, but does this mean that gameplay will take a hit? One would surely hope that that isn’t the case, but we won’t know for sure until the game is ready and waiting for us to purchase.
