GN Version 3.1

Water Warfare

Platform: Wii

Rating: Everyone 10+

Content descriptors: Cartoon Violence

Rating summary: “This is a water gun combat game in which players shoot at opponents with a variety of water-based weapons (super-soaker guns, water pistols, water machine guns, etc.). Presented from a first-person perspective, the game allows players to target objects in training mode, then battle human opponents in matches and missions (e.g., “Treasure Chest” and “Death Match”). Most battles take place in “cartoony” settings such as beaches, playgrounds, and parks. “Water fire” often makes a fantastical popping/shooting sound, while opponents sometimes blink or jerk their bodies back when hit by the water.”

Science Papa

Platform: Wii

Rating: Everyone

Content descriptors: Comic Mischief

Rating summary: “This is a collection of mini-games in which players compete against scientists in various experiments to win the “Helix Prize for Science.” Mini-games include analyzing and combining DNA, combining chemical compounds to create items (e.g., smoke bombs and itching powder), and excavating and assembling fossils. During the competition, players can use “cartoony” bombs to slow down opponents, causing them to be shrouded in slime or smoke.”
