Are you uncomfortable with demo play?

A few days back, we learned that New Super Mario Bros. Wii will feature demo play, a feature that will basically play the game for you. Obviously, this is Nintendo’s approach to bringing in new gamers to classic titles, all while keeping them from getting overwhelmed. We all knew this feature was coming, thanks to patents that popped up not too long ago.

I can’t understand why some people are upset about this feature. If you don’t want to use it, ignore it! This is a feature for newcomers, not gamers like us. Why is this addition making some gamers scared?
