Generation When?

Game journalists/analysts are getting just a bit nervous. They are wondering when the next generation of consoles is going to come out. Usually, we would see new consoles every 5 years or so…but that doesn’t look like the case with this generation.

Nintendo has shown that you don’t need new graphical technologies to make a console a success. They’ve also shown that a portable can go much longer than 5 years. Microsoft is planning to keep pushing the 360 with their Natal motion control, and Sony has always said that 10 years is the plan for the PS3. Will we be waiting another 5 years before the big three ship out new consoles?
