GN Version 3.1

Remember when we heard that doctors were using the Wii to train, all in the hopes of making the more accurate? The results came in, and they were extremely positive. Now the test is being done once again, the results are the same!

Eight trainees were asked to play the Wii for an hour before performing virtual laparoscopic surgery with a tool that simulates a patient’s body and tracks the surgeon’s movements as he or she operates. The Wii-playing residents scored 48 percent higher than others without the warm-up with the Wii, working faster and more accurately. - LiveScience

More doctors need to catch onto this training method. They get to unwind a bit before their real operations, and they end up doing better afterwards!
