GameStop won't be pushing you used games that hard anymore

GN Version 3.1

When you go into GameStop to pick up a game, you just know that the employees are going to ask you something about used games. Do you want to trade in…do you want to purchase a used copy instead…it’s how they run their business. The good news is, a small part of that back-and-forth is changing.

GameStop will no longer be asking you if you want a used copy of a game when you are trying to purchase a new one. This practice will be in effect for the first 60 days after a game’s release. Once that time period is up, GameStop can push the used titles all they want.

Why the change in policy? GameStop is trying to improve ‘vendor relations’. It’s a start, I guess!
