Cross platform play, cross-progression, and cross-platform voice chat coming to both Smite and Paladins

Hi-Rez Studios believes gamers should be able to play with their friends -- and access their content -- regardless of what platform they play on.

We are incredibly excited to be at the forefront of this great cross-platform movement. As we are among the first developers to offer cross-platform play and progression, we are still defining best practices hand-in-hand with platform providers.

As we are several months from the launch of cross-platform play and progression, the content of this FAQ is still an early draft. Certain details may be adjusted as we move closer to launch, both to address technical concerns and improve the cross-platform experience for our players.

We will be adding cross-platform voice chat to SMITE and Paladins alongside our cross-play system. Cross-platform voice chat will be added to Realm Royale at a later date.

Panic Button believes they can still squeeze more out of the Switch

Warframe could be Panic Button's most impressive work yet. The game looks absolutely unbelievable, and it's offering all the same content found on other platforms. You'd think an offering like this would be brushing right up against the limits of what the Switch can offer, but Panic Button says that's not so.

In an interview with Destructoid, Adam Creighton of Panic Button says that there's still a lot of room to get the most out of the Switch. We know the company is working on other games for Switch, but those titles are yet to be revealed. I guess we're going to see what else Panic Button can get from the platform, and I know I'm excited to see what they pull off!

Switch GameCube Controller Adapter delayed to May 2019 in the UK due to "unforeseen production issues"

If you're looking to get a GameCube controller adapter for Switch in the UK, we've got some bad news. Amazon UK sent out emails saying the adapter was delayed, and now further information from Nintendo themselves confirms that the item has been delayed to May 2019.

Thank you for your recent pre-order of Nintendo GameCube Controller Adapter for Nintendo Switch through the Nintendo Official UK Store. We are contacting you as the GameCube Controller adapter has been postponed until May 2019 due to unforeseen production issues. Please rest assured that once we have a confirmed launch date we will notify you and does not impact any other Super Smash Bros. Ultimate items you may have pre-ordered at the same time.

That's quite a lengthy delay! Remember, there are third party options that will work just the same, and the original GameCube controller adapter for Wii U will do the trick as well.

Arena, one of SMITE’s most popular game modes, is receiving a complete art update! Since this mode is so popular, we thought to ourselves: “don’t fix what isn’t broken.” So, the Arena map has minimal gameplay changes, ad mostly focuses on art, visual clarity, and feedback

Environment has been updated to more clearly differentiate between the two sides of the Arena and to better adhere to SMITE’s lore.

The Order side is themed around Greek Architecture and Hera
The Chaos side is themed around Roman Siege warfare and Bellona
The juggernauts have been replaced by Minotaurs!
They obey the same rules as before, they will continue moving toward the portal as long as an ally is near them
They will stop moving if no allies are nearby
Unlike Juggernauts, Minotaurs will attack when stopped
There are new audio cues when a Minotaur spawns or when a Minotaur enters a portal
Order and Chaos Minions have all been updated visually
UI icons for taking damage or death recap have been updated for new NPCs
The all new SMITE Arena is available to play right now! We’ll see you on the Battleground.
