New update (Ver. 14.1.0) available now on Switch
There isn't too much new here
The latest Nintendo Switch firmware update, version 14.1.0, has just dropped, though it doesn’t add much. Here are all the patch notes:
“Platinum Point Notification Settings” has been added under Notifications in System Settings.
Unclaimed Platinum Points earned from completing Nintendo Switch Online missions on your Nintendo Switch system will generate notifications. Nintendo Switch Online missions and rewards are not available in some countries and regions. For more information, see How to Complete a My Nintendo Mission. Setting these notifications to OFF will hide the notification sent when there are unclaimed Platinum Points.
As someone who’s forgotten to claim Platinum Points and has noticed when it’s too late before, this feature, albeit small, is much appreciated. You can download the update yourself right now on your Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo stock down 6% following the Breath of the Wild 2 delay
Fans aren't the only group disappointed
Following the announcement of the latest delay of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo stocks saw a fairly drastic, practically instant drop. The day following the announcement of this delay saw a drop in value of more than $3 USD, from around $67 to around $64 per share.
There’s no need to fear, though. Nintendo’s far from being in a spot of financial trouble. In fact, their shares are still up 10% year-to-date.
Making Sense of the Story of Kingdom Hearts
Strap in, this is gonna take a while...
The story of Kingdom Hearts is notoriously confusing, to say the least. Even if you’ve played the games before, it’s quite likely that you’ve forgotten some key plot points. Now with the mainline series available on Switch (in cloud form), many of you may be looking for a refresher, or a way to skip an entry without getting lost. Whatever the case, I’m here to help! I’ll be revisiting each Kingdom Hearts game in release order while attempting to explain what goes on. Before we get into that, there’s a few things you should know.
- In Kingdom Hearts, a heart is not an organ, but instead, something closer to a soul.
- Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches, as not everything is explained fully.
- We still don’t really know why people can time travel, or how some hearts became connected.
As long as you’re okay with all that, we can move on!
If you like JRPGs, the Kingdom Hearts series is well worth the time and effort it takes to get into it. Of course, it’s best to start at the beginning! Let’s kick things off with the original Kingdom Hearts in an attempt to make sense of it, and the entire Kingdom Hearts storyline so far.
ExitMan Deluxe coming to Switch
It'll be out later this spring
Mobile title ExitMan is getting an upgraded release on Switch in the form of ExitMan Deluxe. Here’s what Rainy Frog, the game’s developer, had to say about it:
Chicken Little was right, the sky IS falling!
Quickly run into the gap as the ceiling comes crashing down from above. If you make it in time the ceiling will rise up again and then crash down again and again, each time with the gap in a random place. How long can you survive? If you can squeeze into the yellow Exit area you’ll earn coins that you can use to buy new costumes.
Test yourself in 5 intense game modes:
Endless Run, 100-to-1 Sole Survivor, Vs CPU Head-to-head, and Challenge Mode with 150 quick fire stages!
There’s also a 2-4P local multiplayer mode so you can go up against your friends to see who is the best ExitMan/Woman!
There’s online rankings too so you can compete with others around the world for the best scores.
It’s set to come out on the eShop later this spring at a price of $4.99 USD.
RUMOR: A potential Breath of the Wild 2 title has been spreading around online
Remember, take this with a grain of salt
Journalist Paul Gale, who currently runs his own website and has appeared in Nintendo Power in the past, has claimed that the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is, or maybe was, at an earlier point in development, called The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Duality.
According to the intel, the sequel to BotW and its main hook is right in the name, which establishes on the “Breath” familiarity from the 2017 hit and giving a nod to the fact that you can play as more than the aforementioned title’s Link (including various, polar themes), hence “Duality”.
He has no direct proof to offer, though he is in a position that could allow him to be privy to such info. Time will tell if his report is accurate.
The Switch version of Coromon has been delayed
You'll have to tame monsters another day
The monster-taming game Coromon, originally slated for release on March 31st, 2022, has been indefinitely delayed on Switch. The developer, TRAGsoft, had this to say
Hey everyone!
This is definitely not an announcement we ever wanted to make but we want to be as transparent and honest as possible with you all. While working on our Nintendo Switch port of Coromon, we ran into some unexpected snags when it comes to online features and cross platform multiplayer. We want to make sure that the experience we bring to you all on Switch is going to be the best that it can be, and in order to do this, we have to delay the Switch launch. We’re hopeful that this delay won’t be terribly long, as we know that you all are very excited to play Coromon on the go and against your friends / other researchers.
With all of that being said, we will still be launching on Steam this Thursday, March 31! The Steam build will include multiplayer and cross platform saves. Your saves from the Steam demo will also be able to be transferred to the full version of the game. Once we do launch on Switch you will also be able to play cross platform. We can’t wait to bring Coromon to Nintendo Switch, so we are working around the clock to get it there and will update you all once we have a new release date.
Thank you for all of your support and patience with us. Shrine bright!
Hopefully these problems will be worked out before too long. The game will still release on Steam in just a few days, and it will have cross-platform save support, so if you’d like to start your journey this week and continue it on Switch later, that is an option. We’ll let you know as soon as it has a new release date.
