Nintendo Releases New Japanese Commercial for the Switch
Reminisce with the Switch's Top Titles
Nintendo revealed a new Japanese commercial highlighting some of the greatest hits of the Switch thus far in a catchy jingle. The commercial shows footage from Super Mario Odyssey, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and other Switch titles with sing-along katakana and hiragana.

MotoGP 22 Releases New Accessibility Trailer
Titled "The Art of Racing"
Koch Media has released a new trailer for MotoGP 22, a racing title featuring 20+ tracks and over 120 riders from the 2022 season. This new trailer, titled “The Art of Racing”, highlights the new tutorials and tools to help any player, regardless of experience or ability. The trailer features how players can utilize basic and advanced tutorial sessions, as well as a MotoGP Academy, which covers acceleration tips and target times for each sector of a lap in a track. Finally, the game has a riding analysis system that notes if a player appears to be having trouble with a certain concept during a race.
MotoGP 22 releases on the Switch on April 21, 2022, and can be pre-ordered via the eShop for $39.99.
Hidden Shapes: Animals + Lovely Cats Pounces onto Switch April 14th
Relax and unwind with some visually-striking puzzles
Hidden Shapes: Animals + Lovely Cats is a bundle of two games with “beautiful and relaxing minimalist hand-drawn jigsaw puzzles.” The games’ levels have drawings of an animal and a background, but the image is distorted. The player must rearrange parts of the picture, divided into squares, to obtain the correct image. In the bundle, players have the choice of either a cat or an animal motif as the background for their puzzles. While choosing the cat or animal version will result in differing levels, both games feature a similar play style.
This game is developed by Yaw Studios and published by QUByte Interactive. When available, you can purchase Hidden Shapes: Animals + Lovely Cats for $3.99 on the eShop.
The Silent Kingdom, a Dark Otome JRPG, is Close to Receiving a Switch Port on Kickstarter

The Silent Kingdom, a story-driven, otome role-playing game about narrative choice, has received funding for a PC release in less than 10 hours. The game’s creator, Lucky Cat, has set a $50,000 stretch goal for a Switch port ($12,000 more) on The Silent Kingdom’s Kickstarter campaign.
The story is described as a “dark tale of a princess who must corrupt her own soul in order to save her kingdom, reaping death and sorrow along the path.” As well as featuring an emotional story, a choice-driven narrative, and romance-able companions, the game is also promised to include anime style CGs and be fully playable in English and Spanish. The game is currently planned to be episodic, and 3 episodes (excluding the prologue) are currently slated to release. Each episode is planned to be released every 6 or 7 months, but Lucky Cat does denote that this time frame is a rough estimate.
This indie game is being made by a single developer in RPG Maker MV, with hopes to upgrade to Unity. To research The Silent Kingdom more, as well as to back the campaign, you can check out the game’s Kickstarter.

Spike Chunsoft uploaded a gameplay trailer for AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES - nirvanA Initiative. According to Spike Chunsoft, the video highlights some new gameplay features:
This gameplay trailer introduces the game system which consists of two parts, “Investigation” and “Somnium”. The “Investigation” part takes place in the real world. Here players will examine crime scenes and listen to testimonies. In the “Somnium” part, players enter the dream worlds of suspects and key witnesses.

Original Nintendo HQ is Now Open as a Hotel
Titled "Marufukuro"
In Kyoto, the former headquarters of Nintendo has been renovated to be a hotel. The hotel, titled “Marufukoro”, has sought to keep Nintendo’s history as a card business alive through items decorating the business. The hotel’s building is made up of the former headquarters as well as the estate of the president, Yamauchi.
The hotel hosts rooms, a restaurant, a lounge, and a library. Currently, a double room reservation is at a 10% discount for $700 a night. You can also check out this article with a video tour of the new hotel.

Famitsu has compiled hardware sales in Japan for the week of March 21, 2022 to March 27, 2022. The top ten (alongside their number of sales) are as follows:

- Switch – 21,784
- Switch Lite – 12,979
- PS5 Digital Edition – 3,110
- New 2DS LL – 280
- Xbox Series X – 246
- Xbox Series S – 144
- PS4 – 13
As compared to last week, the Switch OLED remains on top, but the PS5 has overtaken the Switch for #2. The Xbox Series X saw a sharp decline in sales.

Three New Holowear Outfits Announced for Pokémon UNITE

Pokémon UNITE has released three new pieces of Holowear to stylize some of your Pokémon. The Theater Style outfits for Decidueye (pictured above) and Alolan Ninetales are 1050 gems each. The Pastel Style outfit for Eldegoss costs 1200 Gems normally, but it is on sale for 840 Gems for a week.

Via Twitter, Chrono Cross’s official account released new photos from its remaster, Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreams Edition. These screenshots further highlight the new clearer font option included in the remaster, as well as the new character portrait options for Harle and Starkey. Be forewarned that the screenshots reportedly contain spoilers for a major story event.
Nintendo Tweets Scan of Earthbound SNES Player's Guide

Via Twitter, Nintendo of America shared the strategy guide for Earthbound, the Nintendo Player’s Guide. Originally for the SNES, this guide has over 100 pages of tips about combat, what to do in each town, as well as charts on weapons, protection, and food. The guide is well-known (even among non-Earthbound lovers) because it retains the loving charm of the second title in the Mother series. Most famous in the strategy guide are its sections on each town, which are stylized like a vacation pamphlet.

Curious Tea Party Event Announced for Pokémon Masters EX

Pokémon Masters EX has released details on Curious Tea Party, its next event running from March 30, 2022, 11 PM PDT to May 3, 2022, 10:59 PM PDT. The Curious Tea Party event brings the Sync Pair of Lillie & Polteageist, as well as outfits for Ingo & Accelgor, Emmet & Escavalier, and Sonia & Tsareena.
The update, which coincides with the event, also alters tome elements. This change allows players to no longer have to battle to hatch eggs. The update also provides special voice overs when the player places specific Sync Pairs together in a team.
Paolo’s Interlude arc, as part of the Villain Arc Main Story, has also received a new chapter. This new chapter adds information about Paolo’s background, including his rivalry with Tina.
Nintendo Releases Three YouTube Shorts for Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Nintendo uploaded three YouTube Shorts of Kirby as promotion for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The three promotions showcase Kirby’s Mouthful Mode as well as some other cute scenes.

Nintendo released two heartfelt commercials about Super Nintendo World and the Nintendo Switch to air in Japan.
The first commercial, featured above and on Nintendo’s YouTube, features a group of friends going to Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios in Japan, as well as playing a Switch together.
The second commercial, featured above and on Nintendo’s YouTube, features a Japanese family using their OLED Nintendo Switch while on vacation.
