The gang over at Opposable Thumbs has scoured the landscape of video game consoles (portable and home) to come up with the 3 best uses of design. The slimline PS2 gets a nod, as well as the GBA, and the young newcomer, the Wii.

This is a next-gen console that is easy to set up, and again it invites people to come play with it; the lack of scariness is a huge selling point for casual gamers. …It’s tiny, unobtrusive, and beautiful.

No arguments there. I have to say that I definitely agree. I have my Wii sitting next to my PS3, and I am constantly worried that when I get in the morning, I will find the chewed remains of my Wii spread out in front of the PS3. It just looks like a monster next to it.
