RUMOR - More worries about SEGA Europe's future
Coming from someone that seems to have inside info...
- Sega Europe are looking find someone else to publish their games in Europe
- most of the sales team in their West London office has been let go
- Sega has met with other publishers to handle their titles
- Most of their customers are serviced via Centresoft
- they want someone else to deal with the manufacturing and distribution
- the remnants of West London office will deal with the digital side of the business and licensing
- boxed product games are not selling at all in Europe
- Mario and Sonic costs them a fortune due to the Mario license from Nintendo.
