Ubisoft comments on Michel Ancel's Instagram teases

Ubisoft just won't come out and say that Ancel is working on Beyond Good and Evil 2. Ancel won't say it either. At least Ubisoft was willing to provide the following statement today.

"Michel is currently sharing his time between Ubisoft and Wild Sheep studios. The artwork he posted is from the game he's currently working on at Ubisoft. We don't have anything further to share at this stage."

I wonder what they're waiting for. Why keep teasing the game? Why not confirm it's actually coming? It's almost like they're waiting for a specific announcement. You got anything to do with that, Nintendo?!
