Mojang won't be doing anything to save Minecraft: Story Mode from delisting

I guess it's goodbye, then...

GN Version 5.0

Last week, we found out that Minecraft: Story Mode is going to disappear from digital storefronts on June 25th, 2019. That goes for those who've already purchased and any potential newcomers. It seems even those who have already purchased/downloaded the game won't be able to re-download in the future. That means the only way to go is through retail copies.

The announcement came from the official Minecraft site, but some were still holding out hope that developer Mojang would do something to rescue Minecraft: Story Mode from disappearing. In a statement provided to USGamer, we unfortunately find out that's not the case.

"The Minecraft team currently has no plans to take over Minecraft: Story Mode from Telltale."

If you want to get in on the game, you better snatch a download now. Once again, if you miss out on a digital purchase before June 25th, 2019, your only option will be retail stock still sitting on shelves.
