Prince of Persia's creator wants to make a new installment in the series
Like sands through the hourglass...
The last new Prince of Persia game on consoles was Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands back in 2010. It's nearly been 10 years without a mainline installment, minus a mobile remake and re-imagining of the original title. It seems like now's the time for a new installment, doesn't it? Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner definitely thinks so.
In an interview with GameLab, Mechner reveals interest in creating a new installment in the franchise, but doesn't share any ideas as for where he'd like to take things. Mechner also reveals that he's fine with remakes/remasters, but it's not something he would personally want to be involved in.
