HAL Laboratory celebrates its 40th anniversary, special artwork and website available

HAL Laboratory is celebrating its 40th anniversary today. Since 1980, the company has pumping out great games for all to enjoy including Kirby, BoxBoy and so many others. To celebrate, a special website has been opened, showing the developer's rich history. There is also a fun promotional art piece for which you can see creation process above.

In addition, the various Twitter accounts owned by HAL making posted their own artwork to celebrate the special day. We highly recommend the BoxBoy piece as it is quite adorable. Finally, HAL made a new password available for Super Kirby Clash. By typing in ''HALLABORATORY'', players will receive gem apples as well as various fragments!
