All sorts of places are closed right now due to the pandemic, and that includes aquariums. That's left many staff wondering what they can do while they wait to return to work. The Monterey Bay Aquarium, in Monterey, California has decided to take their expertise online, and they're doing so with the aid of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Aquarium staff have been streaming Animal Crossing: New Horizons via their social media channels for a few days now, and they're even bringing in fossil expert Emily Graslie from Chicago’s Field Museum to help out for a special tour of the in-game museum. Between the aquarium staff and Graslie's fossil knowledge, those who take part in Monterey Bay's online guided tours will get quite the robust online experience.
