it's a shame Nintendo's doesn't allow the market to decide what games to allow on the system...

Yeah... such a shame. Heaven forbid a private company curates games on some level that will show up on their digital store.

It's definitely a double-edged sword, but one I'd argue has been working out pretty well in favor of the Switch's indie reputation so far. And with some of the games on there, it doesnt seem like the bar is that high to clear, actually.

Also, the arguably low barrier of entry is causing its own share of problems on Steam. So while "letting the market decide" keeps bad games from getting too much traction, it also makes it hard for good games to get noticed.
