Capcom revises forecasts upwards due to strong sales of Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2

Looks like Capcom’s plan to support Switch with some major titles has paid off quite well for them.

Capcom has announced that they’ve revised their full-year earnings projections upwards, and they cited continued strong sales of Monster Hunter Rise, along with ‘favorable performance’ for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. We don’t have updated sales figures for these games just yet, but we should get that information from Capcom’s next financial report.

To get into specifics, the company raised its net sales estimates to ¥110 billion ($857 million) and its operating income to ¥43 billion ($327 million).

No matter what sales totals are for the two Monster Hunter games, we know they’re bigger than Capcom had anticipated, which is an excellent sign. Let’s hope this points to even more Capcom Switch support in the future.
